@slimm, read carefully what i wrote...

you guys did your best with what you got with this gameplay code, but some issues that are hardcoded in the game engine are still present (like awkward blocking system, rare low post plays by big men, mostly guards are in charge). those things look and play way much better in 2k13, to be honest.

not the mention other 2k14 issues, like clipping, wierd collisions, some broken animations in the paint... gameplay wise, i simply still prefer 2k13.

The blocking system can be fixed most of the way with slider tweaks.

Which big men who should get a lot of post touches don't when you play?

Fresh installation of 2k14, im in general big fan of clear installation for every big project. I have three 2k14 folders right now. Its default 2k14(just in case, quick base of default files), URBasketball 2k14 and NCAA 2k14. You can always try to overwrite files but who knows maybe Hawk will back soon and you will like to back or compare two mods. Your choice.

I can agree with some points but i can also list a lot of issue in 2k13. Its not so obvious to compare which game is better. Current nba is dominated by small players, if player is big and he is high scorer he must be solid mid or 3p shooter, era of big post players ended 10 years ago. To be honest i dont see problem with non active big players when im loading roster with Shaq or Hakeem, so i dont understand this argument. I think blocking looks really good with new sliders we re preparing right now. 2k13 are dead in attacking the basket aspect...dead. 2k13 is more controlled and gameplay is more slow comparing with 2k14, mostly because of sliders we are using in 2k13.

so i installed the retro mod and then installed the complete new mod but im missing some logos here and there at retro teams. In my game they show upp as custom team logos... any body else got this issue ?? also many dornas for retro teams are 2k dornas..

You didnt paste all files, im 100% sure about this. This mod have 3years now, so i think i know what im talking about :wink: Give me example which logo is wrong or missing and i will point which part you are missing. Btw are you using custom scoreboard? Or any other custom roster?

you don't know but @sko knows it that due to my personal style of play (modes and quarter lenght) i play 2k13 and 2k14 on default simulation sliders, so i cannot use URB sliders, i talked to @sko about this in the past. so when i compare two games, i compare them on default simulation sliders and to me 2k13 looked more "where sim happens" than 2k14. of course, it's maybe early to judge since i played 2k13 way, way much more than 2k14. maybe i'm used to it more than 2k14. :)

well, there is no specific big men issue, i don't have time to play all teams and all mods, it's just general impression. i think big men had more touches in 2k13 than here, they attacked the basket in the low post and pivot more in 2k13. last week i played 2001 lakers, and shaq got the ball in the post area and attacked the basket only 2 times in the 4 quarter during whole game and before that it was all kobe, rick fox and harper show. last night i played nba today heat vs hawks and al horford got only one ball in the low post from the tipp off 'till the final whistle, milsap none. all other plays were by teague, korver, bazemore, sefolosha... so it's just random, there is no specific big men issue, because sometimes when i play two games in a row, i get different result, big men are more active then previous game. simply no rule, it seems it's just how the gamecode decides.

also, like i wrote in one of my previous post, some other aspects bug me big time with 2k14, like clipping, some broken animations, unreal blocks... so i put the whole picture in perspective. of course, this is all my personal opinion. no one has to agree with it. :cool:

we have talked so many times over 2k13 vs 2k14, no need to repeat all the story again. both games have some pros and cons :wink:, while i must agree with your nba 2k14 pros (Y)

and like we talked via pm, your first primary mistake is using default 2k sliders...i mean look around whole nlsc forum, in 50% discussions about gameplay its all about sliders. You should at least once try to load urb sliders and play the freakin game, i dont understand why you are using 2k sliders...why? It have nothing to do with minutes you play, 2k sliders ruin everything what is good in custom roster, in 2k13 and 2k14. Why youre using modded stuff with 2k stuff, did they ever released something solid? Simple example for 2k13 version, you are using default 2k sliders, 3pt tendency set at 50, in current NBA you should see 20-30 3pt shots per game, with slider set at 50 you will see 15 maaaaybe, for 6min 5-8. It make no sense Mad. But you mention about Lakers 2001 and Hawks 2016...i will check this right now. Im almost sure youre leaving wide open Fox or Kobe, and its more obvious for me in Hawks case+Horford is for sure not post player and i have my doubts about Millsap also. But like i said, i will run the game riiiiight now.

Shaq in first quarter, 6.5 min of play, then he was sub, 3/6 all in post ofc, i made screens with clock

Im almost sure you are tryin to double Horford or Millsap in the post, so please dont be surprised that Korver will punish you haaaaaard. I saw 4 post plays in 6minutes from Horford and Millsap and both of them are mid and often 3pt shooters, its enough for me, how about you?

@sko, it was long time ago but it was you who told me, if i remeber correctly, URB sliders are only for certain minutes per quarter (was it 10 or less, correct me) :wink: ... and that they can't be used different way, 'cause they make no sense then... we talked about this, don't you remeber? so what's the point for me to use URB sliders if i don't play 10 or 6min quarter? you told me it makes no sense, that sliders are tuned up for certain minutes per quarter. that's why i play and compare both games on default simulation sliders and i don't see any problem with the way i personally think that 2k13 is more sim with default simulation sliders than 2k14. :cool:

and when you comment my post, you guys forget second part about graphic and animation glitches 2k14 has and 2k13 doesn't have... you just focus on one part related to sliders but sliders can't fix graphic and animation glitches, also the hardcoded gameplay elements :)

p.s. in hawks case, defense was on manual like you suggested (meaning man to man, i didn't double team horford).

I told you this because you wanted real scores with 6min per q....and this is rather immposible to score 100points in 24min with urb sliders :wink:
If you dont care about points i beggin you, please use f urbsliders or user vs cpu in 2k14. There is no sim on default sliders, sry Mad, you cant compare games on 2k sliders, i mean you can but please do this with 2k roster.
I dont know about what kind of broken post animations you talking about, can you post some movie or even screenshots. Graphic glitch, which one? please be specific.
All of the Hawks shooters are stand still and make 3s shooters, they are not creating shooting situations, they are standing. Teague should attack the basket.

ofc, this is all about this, but not expect 100 ppg, im far away to be 2k14 attorney, in short words your arguments are not 100% correct mostly because youre using 2k sliders, this is why i must protect 2k14 a little.

i'm in the process of testing URB sliders, but i have one question and one issue with them:

1. question - which slider do you recommend for nba today and exhibition games, URBsliders or URBHumanvsCPU sliders?

2. issue - when i choose any of those two sliders, volume in the game gets down and i can't bring it back to normal one even in presentation settings menu. when i load my default settings, volume gets back to normal. can you fix it somehow?

1.URBHumanvsCPU is right now the newest one.
2.Its immposible, in presentation settings you can control every audio aspect. Whats more, you can always switch to default settings when you are in presentation settings. If you still cant switch to default 2k settings simple change one by one, its 5sec job. It should save and it will work same way with your every load. This is how it work on my end.

nope, it doesn't work on my end... it works ONLY with settings i created but not with yours. whatever presentation type i change volume is the same (low). it only gets back to normal when i load my own (default) settings file.

do not change presentation, change one by one, crowd, PA, effects etc.

i will try but if ti doesn't help i will use my settings file. i might only copy game sliders settings from URBs one and put into mine.

Some questions I'll like people to answer me if they can (modders of this mod and people's experience):

- Does this mod use the same CF ID'S of the original 2k14 Cyberfaces?

- How does the gameplay feel for the current season? Has been the CPU offensive rating fixed? Has been the issue of your perimetre players getting more rebounds than your centers been edited? Do CPU players still push your defenders till they get under the rim?

If somebody could answer it'll be really appreciated.

IMO i shouldnt answer your next question, because im one of the creator of this mod, so my opinion can be nonobjective. I think you must explain what is it cpu offensive rating, because its not clear for me? you should also read whole first post to understand what we have done with every single roster file.

ofc, you must download "only" part 1-7 for current roster.

custom scoreboard? some fhd cf? sry man i didnt touch okc stuff(jerseys,arenas,courts, dornas etc) from long long time, problem must be on your end.

When I play the LAL VS OKC game.its carsh the desktop. ...

I use the NBC scoreboard and NBA on NBC Mod by stockalone1232 v2.1..


Is it only for me to have this problem? :bowdown: :bowdown:
