It is truly amazing what slimm has done. There's never been anything like it in the history of basketball video games. An invaluable resource that can be used for years and years to come. I cant wait for the update. (Y)

This roster update is the best :shock:

when you release the next roster update could you please release it with cyberface id list update as well as part of the package. my computer is overly protected and it wont allow me to use redmc or any other useful devices for nba 2k14 pc that would allow me to mod for myself

also, i was wondering did you use the same "pattern" for both games (2k13 and 2k14) or you've made some differences based on gameplay differneces between nba 2k13 and 2k14?

Both games will have the same players tab information.

He's still around, just VERY busy with work. We have a massive update of the 1985-2016 rosters coming in the next week or so.

What ideas do you have, Mindozar? I will be releasing all 2k13 rosters with the newest edits in the next few days and I will release the 2k14 rosters shortly after that. If you are interested in making improvements to animations and dunk packages, please let me know what you have in mind and wait until I release the newest updates.

I'm considering looking over the consistency rating for all players but, other than that, all edits have been pasted into the master spreadsheet that contains 1985-2016 rosters (around 13,000 nba players and an extra 1700 fill players for teams that weren't in existence at the time).

We are REALLY close to release. Probably mid-next week.

regarding dunk package.
I guess it's a good idea checking Wikipedia for all-time participants of the dunk contest.
you might add high dunk packages to all players, who particpated in the dunk contest in the past.

we just need correct or good dunk packages for superstars and good dunkers like desmond mason, richard jefferson and guys like that.

it would be good
for example jalen rose has two or three different jumpshot in this mod,
i think more correct if jumpshots would be same in all rosters, but its just my opinion

Hi guys, when I load Final URB roster 2017 players rankings are screwed...Noah best player in Knicks, T. Maker in Bucks, Bogut in Mav etc...

I don't do anything with CF''s or CF ID's. Sko takes care of all of that. I don't know if they are changing or not, but I doubt they would.

I haven't been on here in forever.. Or played or did anything close to modding but something about this time of the year always gets the 2K fever going... I just want to say to a few legends I see here specifically Slimm44, Sko and Med.. Med, your roster mods made me buy 2k13, introduced me to the world of what was possible in roster editing and most of all made me love 2k again.. Hawk23 opened up Pandoras box for me on historic team modding once I came across his stuff. Slimm44 and Sko, you guys have taken it to some whole next level ish and beyond lol! You guys rock!! Your tireless efforts are beyond appreciated! I forayed into in depth roster editing and it lasted all of 2 seconds before life and the project itself proved too overwhelming. I know it ain't easy. I know you guys get told thanks all the time, but seriously, you guys don't have to share any of your work or consider people's opinions the way you do, but you constantly go above and beyond for your fans and community. I think I speak for everyone here when I say a huge thank you and much respect to you guys! So excited for this next update!

In my testing, potential works by raising ratings (statistical ratings as well as offensive/defensive awareness) every year in the offseason until the player's overall rating is as high as the potential rating. The bigger the disparity between the potential rating and the overall rating, the bigger the increase of those ratings in the offseason. IIRC, the awareness ratings get the biggest boosts. I just kind of guessed at the potential ratings but had some trusted posters look over them. I sent you a PM to look over all of my new edits but I assume you didn't get it ie full inbox. If you'd like to look it over, I'd appreciate it. I'm not married to the idea of having the awareness ratings determined by stats anymore and, with potential being completely subjective, the more eyes that are willing to look over it the better.

Lol! Thanks for the compliment, man. I appreciate it.

UPDATE: I have applied the newest edits to the 2017 roster and sent it to Sko. I have completed all 2k13 rosters and will begin working on 2k14 rosters today. I assume it will take 1-3 days to paste all edits into the 2k14 roster files.

I was trying to work on a team specific event music, I have a list of sound cues for all teams, but i dont know which file id's are what. I know that URB has its own event music. So maybe someone knows---is there a way to change a specific teams specific arena music, or is it just set all across the board?

Yes, I received the PM but sending a reply there when we all have full inboxes is kind of just a hassle lol. While most awareness ratings I completely agree, I do have a recommendation for the Potential ratings.

IF Peak Start > Age

Potential = Overall + (Peak Start - Age)

IF Peak Start < Age < Peak End

Potential = Overall

IF Peak End < Age

Potential = Overall - (Age - Peak End)

For example, an 84 Overall player who is 20 years old with a Peak Start of 26 years old should have a 90 Potential. Based on simulations, this creates a very gradual increase/decrease in players where they don't suddenly increase in potential.

How to get the Overall without manually counting it? Start an Association mode with the roster, then save the file without doing anything. Open the Association save file in RED MC and go to the Skills section of the Players tab, the Overall_I will have the Overall value. From there you can perform the Excel rituals you need lol. While I'm not saying this is exactly what to do with Potential, I do recommend that you try it. With that, you can tweak the Peak values instead for better manipulation.
