I'm almost positive that this needs to happen...
- Alphabetize Teams in Teams Tab
- Make sure teams in Slots 0 - 29 are set to Team Type '0' (Regular NBA), and use the default GIDs from the NBA (0 through 031? Leave out the All-Star teams, whatever they are, I think 7 & 30? -- check a default NBA roster)
- Make sure all teams NOT in Slots 0 - 29 are set to Team Type '3' (CAT)
- Make sure Divisions have appropriate # of teams aligned with default NBA
I believe those were the things that HAWK edited in the MM2K14 roster that finally got it to work in Association Mode. As I said previously, it's a real pain to have to re-name the team.iff files, but I believe those criterion need to be met in order for it to work.
Thanks, I have tried some of these, but:
If I alphabetize the teams all the good teams won't be playable in season. (which is why I re-ordered the MM2k14 roster and teams were not aplhabetized, but in the 0-29 slots)
I'll try the GID ordering, but then won't I have to change the jersey tab too, and teams that are utilizing those default GIDs already will have to be changed to other GIDs? ( when I set team type to 3 it used the GIDs for the teams I wanted to add, like texas was 70 and they worked in season mode.)
I'll try the team type 0 and 3, though this was not needed when I reordered the MM2k14 roster, I set teams with non-default GIDs to 3 and they worked.
Divisions are good, that was the first thing I checked.
Maybe the MM2k14 roster was just a coincidence that I got it to work, but look at it, here is what I did and it works, which is what makes why this one won't all the more confusing.
