Does this roster still crash with Association, guys?

2015-16 March Madness Association Test Roster

I filled in all the Assistant Coaching positions. Let me know if the issue has been resolved. If not, we'll continue to troubleshoot.

Also, that roster has ALL teams rated, rotated, and profiled by slimm44, so enjoy testing the teams even after checking Association Mode.

I ran my 1st tests on the test roster.

The first thing I noticed in-game is that there are teams that have their logos reversed on the main selection screen, meaning the logo behind each team belongs to the other.
BYU has Ohio ST logo and vice versa
FlST & OK
Georgetown & OKST
Maryland & Oregon
ND & Pitt

The logos during the game and the scoreboard logos seem to be correct, it is just on the main selection screen that they are reversed.

Also, my 1st in-game test substituting "non 30 teams" into the association worked well, no crashes when switching teams.

I will continue changing the divisions with default 30 & non 30 teams with additional tests and give you updates.

Sim through an entire season to see if there's a crash going to the next year. That's GREAT news about no crashing.

I'm aware of the logo issue, but think I may just turn them all to NCAA on CBS logos, since I'm not sure within the logo_large, etc. which one is correct and which is incorrect, etc. As I said in a previous post, if anyone is willing to fix them and knows which is which, I'll gladly provide the .png/.dds files to them.

Noted the CFs, and I'll take a look into those as well. Thanks.

I don't recall the logos being an issue in the prior roster. I will copy the prior logos into my test folder and see how that works. FLST seems to be the only new team in the logo issue group, so if they are corrected with last years logos, then you may only have to change FLST to ncaa etc. I will let you know.

I plan on replacing divisions in game with all the non 30 teams at once. That should provide any possibility of crashes by changing to all non 30's. If they all change with no crashes as I anticipate, then last years solution will have resolved that problem for good going forward.

Once I get the changing teams tests out of the way, I will sim an association for crashes as you asked. I've played my own association last season with no problems, but never advanced to the next season, so I will let you know how things work out.

Ok this is a good news, bad news test update.

Good news: I created all new divisions in game using all the non 30 teams (NCST to Wis) for an association with no crashes
We can cross that off as being an issue this year.

Bad news: I used that saved association to test simulating to the end of the season to advance to next year like you asked and it CTD as soon as I attempted to simulate the season.

Big, Updates to sim crashes:

I started an association using all the default teams, no changes to divisions and it still crashed at the same sim point, so we can rule out it being a non 30 team as the problem. To try and figure out what is causing the CTD, I checked all the teams and the game requires a minimum of (12) players for each team. All teams have at least the minimum except Arkansas, they only have (11) players.

Slimm, if you could add (1) additional player to the Arkansas roster (anyone will do), that will give them (12) players and resolve that issue in game.

I tested and created a new association replacing Arkansas with Villanova (any team would have been fine) so all teams had at least (12) players and tried to sim to the end of the season with the same crash. So, something other than the roster limit is also causing the CTD.

Does it say exactly where it is crashing? At the draft? Before? After? Do you get to see the season's MVP, etc. before crashing??

Are you sure all assistants have coach type 1?
Did you change type from 0 to 1 or did you leave default 2k order?

I was having the same issue as Sko, it crashed right at the 1st assoc game. I never got to the end of season to answer your question about that. It was the very first assoc game it CTD when trying to sim the schedule.

Quick update:

I loaded the edited roster from sko and started a new assoc with the default 30 to test. I was able to sim the entire season to the playoffs with no CTD

I will test from the playoffs with the association when I get a chance. I will also do the reset the divisions with non 30 teams test again just to make sure with this edited roster. I do not anticipate any issues, but will make sure.

If you want to have a laugh, play a game using Tennessee. I reported about Kasongo needing a cf, but his picture was not blank on the roster, like the other needed cf's, it was a tiny player that showed instead of the normal cf. I played a test game with LSU vs Tenn and Kasongo is a little tiny player running around the court. Check him out trying to block a shot or rebound. He is about an inch tall in the game.
