Will this be compatible with the Fox College Hoops 17' mod that preceded this mod? (the mod with fictional players...)

... I have no clue as to how you "edit a text file" so I googled "editing a text file" and there were quite a few results that came up (none of which I can comprehend

).
So maybe try google and look over the results and try to locate something that you could possibly use... just a suggestion.
I REALLY wish that I could provide better assistance for you to get this mod up and running but unfortunately, this is all I have to offer...
GOOD LUCK

New York Kid, I don't know if this answer is too basic or not. You can use Notepad in Windows to edit TXT files. If you want more features Notepad ++ can be used. It's a free download. AFAIK there are only readme files in various languages in NBA 2K 2014. If you are talking about a SweetFX or ENB effect.txt file then check youtube for tutorials otherwise provide more information and maybe someone can help.

Not sure what kind of "text file" you are referring to, but if you're talking about the text that displays ingame, I believe that's located in the english.iff file (anyone correct me if I'm wrong), and the only way to change the text is to open the file in red mc. I think that's how rayhoops was able to change the end of quarter message to say NCAA on CBS instead of NBA 2K14.

Some retro filters doesn't sound too much like a bad idea; of course they're optional though, since we can just get the ones in the UBR if we wanted.

Thx guys on the help I really appreciate this. It was very helpful. I'm looking to release tonight. After I release I will add Rayhoops 1995 season.

I asked this before and it was not answered so I will ask again...
Is this mod compatible with the other NCAA mods?
Thanks

No its not compatible with anything. My next season is to add RayHoops 1995 roster to this, then after I will add my Fox College Hoops fictional roster, then if i keep getting alot of great feed backs then i'll add the 1993 and so on
. About 3 more hours and this thing is finally ready to be released
