You will assign shoes to players by going to in game menu. It will not overwrite previous shoes. You will be able to preview shoes in game and assign to multiple players at a time.
TGsoGood wrote:It is the normal shoe system in the game but i just figured out how to add more shoes. It is compatible with every roster. I am still working on it.

since I think the best pack of retro shoes available was from 2K12. Hopefully you can make a tutorial too so that I can help with the conversion part, I think I still have most the 2K12 shoes intact.

Yes these will be selectable. I will try to add PF flyers also. I prefer to wear PF flyers in real life. Bob cousy had a signature shoe with PF flyers.

In blender I opened up the 2k13 shoe model and applied textures from 2k10 - 2k13. Then I took a bunch of reference photos and put them together in photoshop.
Here is an example:

Unfortunately 2K14 Shoe texture has a different layout. So next I close the 2k13 3d shoe models and open up my 2K14 n2km shoe file.
Using the reference photos from above I can just use the same method that R4zor used for making CFs.
Basically, I pull up that reference picture as a background image from above and begin using blender's texture paint- clone options to create 2K14 texture from that picture.
If you are confused, just watch R4zor Cf method in the tutorial section.
That way is a little time consuming due to loading multiple 3d files and taking all those reference photos and then combining the photos. But that way is more precise.
A quicker way is to just manipulate the old texture in photoshop or gimp. Cut the shoe out of the 2k10-2k13 texture and manipulate it to fit one of the following layouts:
Low top

Mid top

High top

***EDIT
Oh and the alpha layer should be grey scale... the different grey colors cause the shoe to show different texture types such as patent leather, leather, metal, plastic, etc. Not easy to explain this one.
The green normal map is also not easy to explain
This is a lot to explain, I hope you all understand.
