Hey agolden, where is that scoreboard guide u were talking about a few posts back. I can't find it.

pg 19-21

Thanks, but the guide made me even more confused?
Could someone give me a step-by-step of how to edit the text at the bottom of the ESPN Scoreboard?
Also, would the NBA 2K12 Scoreboard Tutorial help me or is that outdated?

Regarding ESPN bottom part text.
You have to learn to export/import dds images first. Then it will be the same with ESPN - just import your texture to the newscorebug.iff
Read tutorials how to edit 2k graphic files.

Re.: Scoreboard tutorial.
It is slighlty outdated (2012), but no one wrote a newer one. All things are same or similar in 2014, just it is impossible to use Blender anymore. Only hex editing.

Exrxixxx, do I need anymore tools to change the texts? I thought you said I only needed hex editor but this post, viewtopic.php?f=153&t=92829&start=950#p1686369, says I will need GIMP, whatever that is? Also is GIMP free?

Scoreboard can be edited only with hex editor.
Graphic importing is not scoreboard editing, just an aditional (optional) thing.

As in your note above, I wrote that you can edit my prepared texture with your prefered graphic editing softfare. But it is not a scoreboard editing and modifying. It is only picture importing and exporting.

Ja, this is terribly complicated thing where one layer somehow arranged to be as 2 layers, but it is still one layer, and this 1x1 pixel is enlarged, folded to backside in order not cover logo, etc,
All in all it is a tiny and slippery thing, no surprise that some users can not see away (or home) color as PC can not draw that thing as planned as 1x1 pixel of the same layers occupies much more space than the rest 262143 pixels.

If there are more users than I hear yet that exprerience logo color problem with CBS, please post your pic, will try to find universal fix

yes. ESPN.
There is PNG file somewhere in earlier pages which is uploaded for you to edit it (ESPN bottom part).
Find it, edit it, conver to DDS, import to newscobug.iff

Make sure you select the option to install all the logos

How do I do that? It has all the teams with numbers and then it asks Pick:. What would I type in?
Read the txt or picture file for instructions, I forget which file

I see a picture file that just shows what the scoreboard looks like, a BACKUP.rar file, and an .exe file.

I don't see the file that your talking about.

Any answers?

I managed to get all the logos in the game by typing in 99, but the scoreboard didn't show up this time! Solution?

OK, I finally got it to work!

I got the Fox Scoreboard to work, but whenever the stats bar comes down under the scoreboard, it is always blue and in the lower left hand side it says Charlotte Bobcats. How do I fix that?

Run Fox.exe again, pick different number
99 - Logos and font (no need to reinstall them if latest in the game was FOX
1, 2, 3 for main scoreboards
Rest - for team theme scoreboards

..everything is written on screen when executing fox installer

Exrxixxx, I guess your scoreboard work this year should be a lot less!
Such as: you don't need to worry about the playoffs all versions of the scoreboard! < 3 < 3 < 3

Hey hey,
your English is very funny for my taste, but this is OK. Keep writing.
The more you write in English, the faster you will learn it better.
Good luck :)

DDS is just file format as PNG< JPG, TIFF and many others.
GIMP or Potoshop must have DDS pluggins installed in order to be able to export/import DDS file types.

When working with graphic files use PNG always. When your texture is ready forr the game, export it to DDS.
DDS has few compression levels. It is DDS1 or DDS5 in 2k.
DDS1 is unable to display transparency, while DDS 5 compression is OK for textures with transparencies.
