question about the 3DM tool not working with some models???

Ok so this is the first time I've encountered this issue. Im trying to work on a a model in blender but when i bring him over to the 3DM tool and load in the new face fixes nothing happens at all. This never happened to me. Does this happen sometimes where there are some models you can't make changes to at all???????

Again, this has never happened before
