Yes, it is not biggie for me and I could various stuff regarding this, but please understand I am not sitting on this one thing. I am trying to make more mods. For me "net physics" is a finished one.

The ony thing what I am doing and is related with a net is that I am trying to find out how to make lit larger/longer.

So I will not update net physics unless there would be numerous complains

the man clearly posted clear simple instructions on how to do this, you could have done this little mod yourself ten times over the amount of times you spent in here actin like a broad

Here is link to download modded gamedata.iff file. Two versions inside - one with 2K net texture, other with fat net made few years ago by some dude I can't remember now his name.

Here's a profile for adjusting net physics for use with Hex On Steroids.

  • Download the tool from the download's section (2k13/tools).
  • Put the profile file in Documents/Hex On Steroids/Profiles. Open Hex on Steroids. Select the GameData/Net Phsyics Profile.
  • Decompress GameData.iff and open it in Hex On Steroids.
  • Play with the numbers, make both numbers the same
  • Save the file and copy into 2k14 folder (Always make backups of original file)

2k Original is around 750, exrxixxx mod is about 2040. Higher numbers make net stiffer.

Check out Jao's Tutorial on how to use Hex On Steroids if you need more help

i noticed that every net mod that i use the home net is allways stiffer than the away i think were missing an offset

anyway..... EXRIXXX I'm pretty sure I asked you before in another thread for 2K13, but is it any way possible to make the net move sideways as well, or is it hardcoded to only move up and down ??

no, there is such thing like moving sideways.
As I understood, the main factor that gives biggest influence to the net's movement is gravity. You can lower and raise gravity effect, therefore it jumps more or less to the top.

P.s. But I found a very intersting trick that creates new effects to the net animations. I am pretty sure no one of modders that supplied you with various net physics did not use such trick.

You may test it and sheare your comments.

I agree with Trevor i also noticed the home net animations are different than the road teams animations. If anyone can find a fix let me know thanks.

How do we change the net gravity on the home team net? When you put 12ace8 into hex and scroll up a little bit you will see. home.net i think the problem is there. Idk what to put in there to make the net looser.

Here we convert "exrxixxx net physics" froom 2K13 to 2K14

Effect - net is not jumping over the rim so high and often and is much closer to real life physics than default net has.

File needed to edit - gamedata.iff (must be decompressed - just open once the file with NBA 2K Mo Tool to decompress).

Change just few values in your gamedata.iff file with hex editor

Offset
12ace8 - change next values to - FF 00 FF 44
131de8 - change next values to - FF 00 FF 44

i made a badass net mod but there is a problem the 12ace8 hex value it don't work for the left hoop on the other hand the right hoop net animation is perfect its hex value 131de8. When i plug in the right baskets hex value into the left baskets hex value it is still stiff can u somehow make the left basket have the same animation as the right. I attached the gamedata file. just go to practice and shoot and u will see how good it is. getting the left the same is the problem
