[REQ] NBA 2k14 - Sweat Editing Tutorial/Tips

Thu Apr 24, 2014 9:08 am

Hello everyone, I already search and read some of the threads here and I was unable to find any tutorials for editing sweat effects for nba 2k14 PC (progressive & patterns) I already asked sir Jaosming about this and he also said that there's no tutorial about sweat editing here. Currently I'm using Lagoa's v6 Global and found out that the sweat effects is a little bit off with my liking. So I decided to learn how to edit sweats or copy any sweat effects from other global to another and what application should I use. I know this is to much for a newbie like me here for asking such things but please if someone knows how to do it and willing to share their knowledge how to edit sweats please share with me (us).

Note: Learning this editing if for my personal use only , because I know if i'll copy one's global edit and include to another I'll definitely need's both owner's permission if I'm going to share it. :)

Thank you so much guys! :bowdown2:

Importing ande xporting sweat from another global to your global is fairly easy. Youll need the nba2kx modtool. After that, open the global.iff that for you has a better sweat than lagoa's, (btw, the sweat textures are 112 for face, 474 for legs, 761 for the normal sweat, and 833 for the body) now for example, I used cams global and want to import his sweat to your own global. All you need to do is scroll down and fine numvpber 112 and hit export RES, save it to somewhere you will remember. After that, open another instance of the modtool and open lagoas global using that. Then, scroll down to 112 and clixk import RES then choose the texture that you just exported from cams global. Dp that to everything(same process). Sorry if it isnt clear to you, I just made this jn a hurry. Check Jaos tutorial, I learned modding from his videos (Y) .

When I tried to import my exported 112 dds file to the destination global the "import res" button is not working I mean the upload window is not opening.

I just found some suspicious attribute from the source and destination global's

here are my screenshots:

CAM'S GLOBAL (112 DDS FILE SOURCE)

Image

LAGOA'S GLOBAL (112 DDS DESTINATION)

As you can see both fields are not the same, I'm thinking if this is the reason why I can Import the 112 dds file from CAM's Global to ort it to Lagoa's 112 DDS.

Please help me again :) :bowdown2:

My first try is a failure hahaha!

Are you sure this is a global.iff file? Try to check the file if it is the global.

I changed my global.iff and the import res is now working properly. But when I tried to play the game with 5 mins / qtr, stamina = 0 and Fatigue = 100 (this is only a test sliders to stress test the sweat effects) I found out that the progressive sweat and effects are both not working, I mean there's no sweat at all even all of my players fatigue bar are empty and reached the 4th quarter. Just want to know how progressive sweat and sweat effect works? is it on how many minutes the players played or how much fatigue and low stamina they have? is it correct that I need to import res (DDS) file and not the nk2 something file?

I'll include my screenshots later. Thanks! :)

Hmmm...Progressive sweat is not affected by fatigue. The sweat "progresses" till the end of the 4th quarter even if you only play 1 min/ quarter and yes, you need to import the dds file only and not the 2k2f/m.

Still after copying all dds files to my test global this is the result after playing 4 quarters.

as you can see there's no sweat at all... wahahahaha.. I don't know what happend but I'm pretty sure I exporter all needed DDS files and imported it on the exact location but still I failed to make it right

what do you think?

EDIT: Do I also need to export and importy 761 dds file? I'm thinking this is my problem why the sweat effects is not working ..

You could try importing the other global's 761. But if that fails, try to use another global (Y)

I already tried to use other global's 761 but still same results. I 'll try to use other global's as my destination global (test) thanks

bro youre using default global right??
thats the problem coz the amount of sweat in default global is not not that high so even if you change your sweat pattern you can get the same sweat effects in your game...

or you can change the red and blue channels in photoshop, see if it can solve your problem.. BTW save it in DXT1 only bro

Sad to say I already did that. I copied your sweat effects to Lagoa's v6...

Bro, if you have some free time can you try to edit lagoa's v6 with your sweat? Just to try if this is really going to work with Lagoa's Global.

Please attached the screenshot if you make it bro! I know you can.. I just want to know why i can't do it right.. haha :bowdown2:

lagoa's global is also have a default value of sweat.. thstd why the amount of sweat is the same as the default global...

also he uses default global as base thats why the skintone is on default color..

BTW skintone can only edited using hex...

SO, even if I copied all the needed DDS Files from other global it's useless? hmmm.. but I don't know how to edit the sweat value :( I thought copying other sweat edits will work ..

If you have time SJ can you tell me how to edit the sweat value? thank you so much! :bowdown2:

They're all different in every global. You have to manually look for it unless you're using someone else's like lagoa's, then you can just ask him where he edits those values. That I can think of.
