Create-a-Team Stuff

Postby JaoSming on Mon May 06, 2013 12:55 am

This is confusing as all hell, but I am going to do my best to lay out my knowledge of created teams which goes hand in hand with using custom colored uniforms.

By default, the team colors in the REDitor correlate to the colorizeable textures (red, green, blue) like this.

Team Color 1 = Red
Team Color 2 = Green
Team Color 3 = Blue

So, if your team color is Gold, the red parts of the texture will be recolored from Red to Gold.

More will come, I just dont want to forget that part again.
Opinions are my own.

Hey Jaosming. I just recently discovered that the NBA D-League logo is actually on disc for the Xbox 360. I am trying to make a jersey where it is a CAT jersey (Jersey texture uh1009 and ua1009) and the D-League logo is just on the jersey and the home jersey is white and the away jersey is black. How do I do this (I have been trying to do that and the jersey just comes out a whole bunch of different colors and plus the logo keep changing colors) while keeping the logo color as its original colors and not changing to different colors?

you cannot add a logo to a uniform with custom colors, and not have the custom colors mess everything up for the logo and the uniform.

So then I take custom colors off, but then won't it be red, blue, and green?

So then how do I make a CAT jersey with the d-league logo without it being red, blue, and green?

be on PC with custom textures? I'm not trying to be an ass, but there are limitations on the modding you can do with the roster file by itself.

if you can figure out the color part of it, sure, but there is no good way to do it.

Ok, So I figured out the color part of it and successfully re-colored the D-League logo, thanks for the help Jao! But, I ran into another problem, The roster loads up fine, and when I look at the team in the roster it is fine, when I go to edit a player on the D-League Select team I made it shows me the jersey just fine. But when I go to Play now and I am selecting my teams as soon as I get on my d-league team the game freezes. I think it is the jersey types, what should the jersey types be for that team? Or is it because I only have 5 players on the team?

5 players doesnt matter, but copy parameters for the uniform from a normal one, see if it helps

Ok, so I did what you said and it finally works, UNTIL THE COMMENTATORS STOP SAYING THE STARTING LINE-UPS and then it cuts to when both teams are at tip-off and then the game FREEZES! I have never seen that before and it only freezes for the D-League Team. What do you think could be causing that problem? By the way I really appreciate you helping me out with this roster and giving me advice, I would be so stuck without your help. I've never even heard of that, the game crashes right before it's going to tip-off!!!! How could I fix that? Have you ever heard of or dealt with this problem?

I removed the '0' logo out of the selectable logos when creating a team, and instead added my own. Now, the logo seems to work fine when you zoom in, but when in normal range, the logo is still '0'. This didnt happen in 2k13, and i dont know what is happening rite now. Someone needs to help me please, i am doing this for my friend's birthday.
