Some Blender scripts, you will notice I use one of them a few times in the video for mass renaming.

Tip
You do not need to convert the headband "IF" you do this step instead.
The 2K13 headband has 145 vertex and the 2K11 has 144 vertex. The trick is to add one extra vertex to the 2K11 headband and it will import fine and work without problems as far as I have tested.
In the picture below is where I add the vertex, just above the left ear (bottom of the headband) Select the single vertex you want to duplicate and Hit Shift+D on the keyboard. Important, Do not move your mouse after Shift+D before you left click the mouse once to set the position. After you hit Shift+D it will place the vertex but it will move with the mouse unless you set it. I hope this is more clear than mud :)

As long as it is a simple one as in bald guy to another bald guy, most of the time its just export the headshape and textures from 2K12 and import it into 2K13. If your guy has hair, beard or whatever else you will need to find someone in 2k13 with hair or...as close as possible. No need for Blender unless you have to edit hair.

The tutorial is awesome and huge thanks for everybody's work! Without these tutorials, we'd be very lost. One question though... I've had success converting 2k13 to 2k12 (I converted Christian Laettner from 2k13 Dream Team to 2k12 player for UBR roster on the Hawks) and 2k11 to 2k12 (Converting Glen's 2k11 Shawn Kemp into 2k12)... but I can't manage to convert 2k10 to 2k12... the vertices, faces and edges match, and I'm just placing the 2k10 headshape into the 2k12 model in blender and follow all of the tutorials step by step--like I did when I successfully converted faces... BUT, when I import the converted head into Mod Tool, I get no error messages and it acts like it works, but I get the headshape that looks like a bomb went off inside the player's head. Any suggestions at all what might be going wrong? Any help is appreciated cause I'm going looney trying to figure out why this won't work.
RETIRED MODDER I used to MOD, but I quit because people & whatnot...

Well, I'm trying to import a 2k10 headshape into 2k12, but just to see if I could get a 2k10 model to import into 2k13, I attempted it, again with no luck. And just to make sure that it wasn't just the one headshape, I tried 4 different 2k10 headshapes with no success. Again, I successfully imported a 2k11 headshape into 2k12 and a 2k13 headshape into 2k12, but 2k10 just doesn't want to work for me... so, I'd like to think that I'm doing it right, since I have successfully imported them, except 2k10 headshapes. Also, the faces, edges and vertices all match on the headshapes I'm trying to import--(the standard seeming to be ve: 1399, ed: 4065, and fa: 2664). Its driving me mad, cause I created so many headshapes for 1992 MOD for 2k10... this video gave me hope that I could salvage all of those 100's of faces I created... sad is me :( :( :(
