Patching Tool Compatibility - Mod Tool Kinda, 3DM Tool Yes!

**Stadium and Floor files from NBA 2K12 work in NBA 2K13**



Props to pacificsmoke for shooting me some files! Got a court, uniform, and CF

Uniform
Only the Warmup Texture is compatible with the 2k12 mod tool, the rest are a different compression, kinda like the way the numbers and letters showed up in the mod tool this past year.
*It IS editable in the 3DM Mod Tool However*

Floor
Looks all editable in the mod tool, models and everything!

CF
Same issue as the uniforms. It looks like the tool is trying to say they are DXT1 textures, but they are DXT5 in 2K12. Models work though

and just to say HAHA to Leftos for getting the first patch out. This should the Celtics court with proper Parquet size and baseline logo

Jaosming, what about the other tools? Like the 3DM tool for jerseys etc.

Floors look oddly similar in size.....


I can confirm that 2K13 floors work in 2K12.....huh. Hopefully that goes both ways so we can have those noice Mythbuster courts.

can stadiums 3D Models be edited yet? (I'm working on a 3D Basket/Rim edit)?
can global be edited yet?
can gamedata.iff be edited yet?

does 3dm tool work for 64 bit windows? i tried editing the numbers and letter on 2k12 but it always showed an error when importing it.

didnt get those files, I get my game within 12 hours

Just a heads up, showing 2 ideas.
1) As you might have already spotted, the earlier mentioned "removed from the game" audio and graphics files were just actually marked with a '_' char in front of their names
2) Take a look what i did with my fav player (since 2010) Jrue Holiday (height and name)... so yes, all seems good for now (could be better, though ;) but they decided to remake file format quite a bit).
2.1) This year there might be no limit for the file size... this should be checked and confirmed, though; just a hypothesis at the moment.

True. The fact that it's going to be so easy to bring mods over from 2K12 makes it really exciting.

Imagine how easy it'll be to slowly recreate UBR once REDitor comes out. YESH!
