Why can't you assign it?

I'll work on adding key customization in one of the future versions. Sorry to hear you're having this issue.

Yep, same here. I cant map "Backspace" to any key in-game. It looks like Backspace is hard-coded to "clear key mapping" on the key configuration screen. So when you try to assign "backspace" to any command, it simply erases the existing key mapping. This is in NBA2k13, by the way.

...and i cant get the tool to work. Remapped all commands (except timeout/backspace). All i see in the application window are several lines of
10:21 AM: SRE reset
10:22 AM: SRE reset
10:23 AM: SRE reset
and so on.

Oh, okay, I'll fix the Timeout required mapping to something else that works in 2K13 as well.

As for not getting the tool to work, are you sure you can record your own voice fine in any other program, and that your default recording device is set to the Microphone port of your sound card?

v0.3.1.2 released!
Reassigned tool's Timeout mapping to Page Up, the default in 2K13. Should work now.

Oh have it working now!! :D :D :D Turns out i had not enabled Speech Recognition in windows 7. This is a Really Awesome tool. Does a good job of recognizing my African accent nicely. One small problem though.... Many times when i say a command (like "4 screen", or 3-2 zone), my player does some random stuff like pass the ball or attempt a steal, or the direct passing icons come up and nothing happens.
And there seems to be some latency between "voice command" and "action on-screen"... u know when you only have 24 seconds to make your move, every nanosecond counts.

 Still, Good Job though. I think this is one of the Most PROMISING mods out there :bowdown2:

Read the Quick Usage notes in the first post to realize why the game does other stuff than what you expect it to do. To make a long story short, you need to do nothing on your gamepad for a second after finishing saying the command, so that the tool can send the proper key-presses. Otherwise, the tool's key-presses mix up with whatever you do on your gamepad, and so it doesn't get the right command through.

I can't make it go any faster. It will only be as fast as the Speech Recognition Engine in Windows, unless you can find me a better (and free) engine. There's no delays added by the tool; as soon as it recognizes a voice command, it sends the key-presses.

Thanks for the kind words anyhow.

Can you please make a video tutorial on how to set this up with 2K13. I know it's simple, but I'm having some trouble. F.E. 2K13 doesn't have fake pass.
