Just a quck question: I usually play on 4:3 screen with your FOX scoreboard. Unfortunately it's not centered....is there an easy way to move it to the right?
Can you point me in the right direction? I have both MAX and hex edit skills....
Thx in advance
Thank you.
Before starting a new scoreboard I always have an option where to place it. For very understandable reason I put it to my center. And I think think my center is correct.
This is because when I run Video Performance benchmark my scoreboard is always centered.
But when I start a new game my scrbd is left orientated too. But I use hotkey to shake resolution and eveything became centered. My investigation shows that the loading screens are not same aspect ratio as scoreboard's ratio, therefore there is a conflict. Also please note that this is not a scoreboard's fault, but 2K coding or just graphic card issues.
Try to go to windowed mode when you see the board left orientated (CTRL+TAB) and then go back.
Even default 2K scoreboard is left orientated, you just do not notice while it is small and in the right corner.
If you use 2012 mods made by Ariel (Ariel's ESPN 2K12) - it is also left orientated in 2K13. I am sure it was centered in NBA2K12.
My advise - play with your native aspect ratio and "shake resolution" with hotkey combination (use http://funk.eu/hrc/) or go to windowed mode 9CTRL+ALT). For me it works.
You have to find what's best to you by yourself.

Your love is mistaken.
You are correct when saying that 1680:1050 is 16 to aspect ratio. Exactly as mine.
So why you are using 12.5 to 10 resolution?
But we can test it.
Do you see a round circle or just an "egg"
Measure with a ruller from north to south and west-east.
What are results?
I would advise to use 16:10 or 16,7:10

400px margin ---- 800px scoreboard ---- 400px margin
----------------- 1600px width ---------------------

Leftos wrote:exrxixxx, that's not a valid test. Images aren't shown differently depending on the aspect ratio, unless you're using one that's not native to your monitor (e.g. using a 16:10 resolution on a 16:9 monitor). The aspect ratio only determines how much space is available horizontally compared to how much space is available vertically.
WHY SCOREBOARDS CAN'T BE CENTERED IN ALL RESOLUTIONS
Again, scoreboards are RIGHT-ORIENTED. You can't change that, as far as I know.
So, let me give you a very simple example.
Let's say we have a resolution of 1200x900 (4:3) and a resolution of 1600x900 (16:9). Let's assume the scoreboard is 800 pixels wide.
So, you're working on a 16:9 resolution. In order to have the scoreboard centered, you need to have an equal distance from the left and the right. Subtract 800 from 1600, and you're left with 800. Divide that by 2, and you're left with 400. So you need to set a 400px distance from the right.
- Code:
400px margin ---- 800px scoreboard ---- 400px margin
----------------- 1600px width ---------------------
Works perfectly for any 16:9 resolution. It will show up centered and pretty in 1600x900, 1920x1080, etc.
However, switch to the 1200x900 resolution, and the scoreboard still uses 800px for itself, and 400px for the right margin (a total of 1200px, oh-oh). So this means that there's no space to the left of the scoreboard, hence the scoreboard seems to be left-aligned. It's not. It's right-aligned, but the margin's too big for the aspect ratio.
If you create a scoreboard that's centered for 4:3 resolutions, it's going to be off to the right in 16:9 resolutions.
And that's why you can't have scoreboards be centered for all aspect rations. Only scoreboards like the default 2K one or the TNT one that are right-aligned are going to work fine in both aspect ratios.
P.S. People need to use the native aspect ratio of their monitor. There's 4:3, 16:10 and 16:9 monitors out there, so depending on your monitor, always use the right aspect ratio for it, or you'll either get a stretched image, or black bars.
maumau78, your monitor has a native aspect ratio of 16:10, and you want to use a 4:3 resolution? That makes no sense. 4:3 is a nearly square resolution, while 16:10 is widescreen. There's no point in using a 4:3 resolution in a widescreen monitor, unless you enjoy your image stretched or with black bars, as I mentioned.

Leftos wrote:exrxixxx, users with 4:3 monitors have no way to have the scoreboards centered since you're working on a 16:9 monitor. Only solution for them is to switch to a 16:9 monitor, and that requires money.

Squad looks Ok i think.
PG SG
PF SF
C
(in the middle of the screen)
I am afraid to any of these, let's say to
PG SG PF SF CF
because very often these positions belongs to group and "C" could simply mean "Second line of group texts No.33", where instead of "C" could be written 7/11 or something like that. I am just describing the main ideas how these stats are built, this is not exact information.
So personal I do not require any information at this stage, furthermore are squad coordinates and belongings are known for me.
Anyway thanks
BTW. Eveything is ready for release, I will not update nothing more in this version.
For the future some tweaks will be considered if required.

Furthermore, texts and background are not sliding anymore. It's static. Appears-disappear, this gives even better feel about integration to the main scoreboard.

Try to open newscorebug.iff with any hex editor
Offset (address)

5B2D5
5B2D6
5B2D7
change value to 00 00 00 00

This is for "Quarter".
If this helps, will give the rest offsets
