What makes this mod “sim”? Here are a few of the features that set this project apart from all others:

- Every art file (jerseys, arenas, cyberfaces, accessories, courts, dornas (advertisement at half court), etc is realistic and none will crash game play
- There is no missing art file in the entire project

Every player in every roster has:
- Accurate statistical ratings and tendencies to work with 2k's simulation engine while still providing realistic game play
- Realistic ratings and tendencies that affect game play but not the simulation engine ie dribbling, athletic ratings, post tendencies, etc.
- Realistic physical attributes that decrease after major injuries or as the player gets older
- Accurate play types
- Accurate contracts

- Accurately updated Coaching profiles and playbooks

- Draft classes that have realistic player information for every player

- A few slider sets designed to be a base for realistic game play

Yeah I gotta revert my stance a bit, Shaq has come alive in game 3 & 4 and now I feel like I always have to fear him, it's fun.
I believe CPU FT's are also a difficulty thing, CPU should be more aggressive on Superstar of HOF. On All-Star I can stay in front of them and force contested shots a decent amount of the time but on higher difficulty they should get by me easier and force me to have to resort to fouls.

Their third best player (who's been kicking my ass for 4 games) was missing... and huge chemistry issues, I guess.
I don't think you CAN stop them in this game and you're not supposed to. They've been killing me on offense. My advice would be to force Shaq to take tough 1vs1 shots from as far out as possible, so he can't get the rebound (Every Gary Payton prayer from 3 is basically a lob pass to Shaq :( ). Yeah my advice is to let Shaq beat you, I'm definitely a sane person :mrgreen: .

Notes

- This sucks. I played great for 3 quarters, one of my best ever games offensively, then fell apart in the 4th. Defensively I couldn't handle them at all this game, I made Shaq take contested shots and hit lots of jumpers myself to keep it close. They really should be beating me and the disparity in team quality showed in the 4th.

- Shaq got a lot of shots up but you have to factor in that 8 of those were of ORBs and not part of the Laker offense and that I didn't foul him (not smart), so it seems reasonable to me.

- Over these 4 games I believe Kobe should have gotten more touches. He shoots it almost every time he gets it but he's not getting it at the rate real Kobe was, I believe. Again he didn't shoot any foul shots, so factor that in.
In the end, he is helping his team, getting touches in the flow of the offense, letting other people get their game on while always being a threat himself. Real Kobe was forcing it more, to the detriment of his team (I believe), so URB Kobe is playing smart ball to me.

- I went a bit berzerk with Nash shooting threes...Steph Curry must be proud.

- is there some trick on how to box out/ get a defensive board or do I just have to suck it up?

- Player individuality is great in this mod, Antoine Walker can't hit an open midrange shot to save his life and Dirk can't miss those (Karl Malone neither :x), feels extreme but I love it.


The main takeaway from my 4 games is that the CPU approaches every game differently. I have seen them going to Shaq one game, then going to Kobe the next game, forcing the ball into the point one game and spreading it around for another.
On the one hand this is obviously helpful for replayability and challenging because you can't be (entirely) sure what to expect and have to be on your guard but on otoh you can't really judge CPU play from just one game (playing a series was a good idea here).

In regards to rebounding, I had to learn to not play as much help D with the big man I control and get a body on my man early. If you try to box out when the opposing player is not next to you, you will miss it every time. Also, your team sucks at rebounding. There's not going to be much you can do against Shaq and Malone on the glass.

I started Creating a Legend mode and the stupid coach didn't start the guys that I wanted to be a Starter, Would I be able to edit the rotation/minutes/players morale of .SMG if I get the RedMC license for the ff?

Advanced File Types (.FXG, .CMG, .SMG, .PMG, .RFG, .OFG) - $3.5
Overriding Rotations - $1.3

I've edited the roster minutes, rotation, roles before I start CAL mode but still the coach made all the top rated guys to be Starter :x .

I am playing Chicago seasons, using the finalURB2015.ros file, and I seem to get crashes when playing against Portland. I am letting it play cpu vs cpu through all the games, and everything works OK but this matchup. It crashed the first time the two teams played, and I quick-simmed past it, then it just crashed again on their second game.

The problem is I haven't sat and watched to confirm that it crashes during the commercial after the first quarter. I have started games and watched for a while in 1st quarter, but I have not been sitting watching when it crashes. I just come back later and it has exited to the desktop.

Could it be a cf file issue like with LeBron?

MrMojok69, i will check this in next two hours. So Chicago vs Portland, season mode? what you can do right now is to check your nba 2k game folder and look for big size of png file(5-7mb) It looks like another cf causes crasing for some users. You had the same problem with lbj cf earlier right? Did you dowloaded part 6 with fixed lbj when i posted info about this?

For now i can confirm it is one of the cf causing ctd. It looks like some cfs which working in game without problems causing ctd in previews between 1st and 2nd quarter and between 3rd and 4th q.
You can help me to find this cf by posting which previews show up correct for you and without CTD. For example i have no problems with previews of TOR vs CAVS, WAS vs CAVS, LAC vs MEM , SA vs IND, TOR vs ATL from 26november. This way we can find team with bad cf.
I must be more careful from now with cf files.

@skoadam The issue could be Curry's CF png1612.iff with 3.51 MB, additional information to avoid further crashes in upcoming releases only the Top Rated/Star player in the Team would be featured during the 1st and 3rd Quarter break, you can easily identify those players that might have faulty CF that you've added in the Part 6 previously.

BTW I were to get RedMC license for specific funtions would I be able to edit the the saved game(.SMG .CMG) roster stats/rotation/minutes/trades on-the-fly? Like for ex. Rondo signed with the Lakers this off-season and I already started playing MC or CAL, would I be able to edit Rondo from Dallas to Lakers with my current game without starting a new one?

I don't I'd just run some test and it didn't crash in the end 1st or 3rd Quarter when I used Curry's default CF.

Does Slimm using Curry's CF with 3.21MB? This might not be an issue for everyone since you guys didn't encounter it with Lebron eitheir right? I would really appreciate if you could provide me some insights if RedMC would be able to edit your current saved game on the fly?

jtrotterj, i believe all of us using mod files. If not tests make no sense. Quarters breaks are so amazing random thing, because its not only next days, i played 21dec game and i saw preview of 26 december games.
Slimm is using Curry from zip pack, not default one.

@skoadam since you guys said you didn't encounter crashes when we reported it I would assume you didn't have crash on Lebron's CF either that we are having trouble with?

I played one game and didn't crash and have been busy the last few days and haven't had a chance to play and test things out.

jtrotterj, we could never see crashes because we could never meet Cavs in quarters break, this is why its so amazing random, you could never notice crash, when other can.

No Sko, it is an edited team. I released the lowest OVR player on the Bulls into free agency, and added 2001 Allen Iverson to it. Rose is on the inactive list, so he has not played.

This is how I did it

1) make copy of FinalURB2015.ROS, rename it to AI2015
2) open AI2015.ROS in REDmc, change AI "is_freeagent" to 1, set "teamID1" and "teamID2 to -1"
3) start game, load the AI2015.ros
4) Start new Season Mode, select Bulls as team to control, release the lowest-stat guy in the roster, go to free agents and assign Iverson
5) adjust rotations, etc (AI starts as PG, Rose moved to inactive)
6) load URB sliders
7) play season

If editing the league in this way is what is causing crashes, I will just stop doing it.

If you like, I can start a new season just by loading URB2015 season file, and play it and see how it goes with Rose and URB rotations, etc.

MrMojok69, you did that correctly and it cant cause crashes, but i did check d rose cfs by assigning his cf to all players and game did crash everytime after 1q so this must be a problem for you also. Please download new cf file from my previous post, overwrite with file in main game and try to continue your season.
I also find Kevin Love cf file which can be problematic in breaks between quarters, so do the same with this link:
