First of all, who is standing behind this huge and amazing update? ITS SLIMM44, he's back ONLY for this project, so please do not spam his PM box. If some of you dont know this guy...shame on you. Next surprise, 2015 roster is fully updated together with 1993 roster. All edit work was made by slimm44, i was testing platform + hope i help him with advice. I never saw this kind of roster in 2k modding history, i know it sounds bad when modder use this kind of sentence, but believe me, lvl of editing is so amazing deep. Stats and gameplay are very, very realistic. Hyped? not yet? ok lets wait for release little longer.

Here is changelog for 1993 and 2015.

Ratings

• Inside, Close, Mid, and 3PT shot ratings edited based on educated opinion and scaled to the simulation engine (These are not exact because there is no data from 1993)
• Pass Rating based off of simulation scale and Assist% statistic
• Block Rating based off of simulation cale and Blocks per 36 Minutes statistic
• Steal Rating based off of simulation scale and Steals per 36 Minutes statistic
• Offensive Awareness Rating based off of Offensive Rating + Offensive Win Shares
• Defensive Awareness Rating based off of Defensive Rating – Defensive Win Shares
• Vertical Rating based off comparisons to similar players vertical leap from draftexpress.com

Signature Skills

• Dimer given if player is above 30% assist rate or if two prominent players on the same team have 25%+ assist rate
• Scrapper given if one player has above 17.5% rebound rate or if two prominent players on the same team have 15%+ rebound rate
• Eraser given if the player has 5%+ block rate
• Intercepter given if wing player and 2.5%+ steal rate
• Active Hands given if big man and 2%+ steal rate
• Pick Pocket given if point guard and 2.5%+ steal rate
• Interceptor and Pick Pocket given if wing player and 3.5%+ steal rate
• Posterizer given to Shaq, Kemp, Barkley
• Brick Wall given to big, strong players ie Karl Malone, Charles Oakley
• Highlight Film given to the Human Highlight Film

Hot Spots

• All hotspots to have players activate freelance tendencies in intelligent places on the court

Tendencies

• Take Shot Tendency based off of FGA per 36 minutes statistic
• Inside, Close, and Mid Shot Tendency based off of educated guesses (no data for 1993)
• 3PT Tendency based on 3PTA per 36 minutes statistic
• Drive the Lane capped at 40
• Pull Up Tendency set at 1 for players with high mid-range/3PT tendencies
• Attack the Basket set to 0 for wing players and 100 for PF/C's
• Pass Out Tendency set the same as the player's passing rating but PF/C's set to 0
• Triple Threat Tendencies edited
• Use Pick Freelance Tendency given if PG, Passing Rating is over 65 and Touches Tendency is over 50
• Set Pick Freelance Tendency given if PF or C and Touches Tendency is over 50. Most C's still get a 0 in this.
• Isolation Freelance Tendency given if player has over 15FGA per 36 munutes and over 50 Touches Tendency
• Spot Up Tendency given if player has less than 50 Touches Tendency
• Post Up Tendency given if PF/C and player has more than 50 Touches Tendency
• Touches Tendency based on Minutes per game + Per + Usg%
• All Post Moves and Post Shots edited to help posting players attack more.

Coaching Profiles

• Offensive Tempo set to 0 for all teams to help reduce players running from spot to spot too quickly. Also helps prevent plays from breaking.
• Defensive pressure set to scale based off of Defensive Rating statistic
• Fast Break set to 10 for all teams to promote increased pace without breaking the playcalling system
• Help Defense set subjectively on a scale from 50-100
• Crash the Boards set based off of Offensive Rebounding % statistic
• Mid Range and 3PT Tendencies set uniformly to promote accurate amount of mid-range and 3PT shots will be taken.

Playbooks

• Only plays that the AI can use intelligently on a regular basis were chosen
• Playbooks were assembled based off of personel currently on team and to simulate action that team ran that season

Transactions

• Updated 30/09/2014 + contracts
• Salaries and extensions updated 30/09/2014

New stuff

• New 2015 season courts made by utp1985
• New 2015 season jerseys made by pinoy21
• Implemented for good new 2014/2015 schedule
• Implemented for good new alphabetical order list of teams

The gameplay is good, but a bit too much frustraiting, as if the cpu missed 4 shots in a row, got every rebound, and in the fifth time, scored a 3pt... :evil:

Also, may i ask why is rose rated 78??? Even though he just came back from an injury,It's a little low, isn't it?

First of all play full game(4x12min right?). Should i start posting screens with stats? Finish one game, make a screen from stats and compare everything step by step ( fg%, fga, 3pt%, ft%, ass, rebound, block, steals, etc ) with real stats here http://www.basketball-reference.com/lea ... _2014.html
Overalls means nothing. Dont believe me? simulate season and check Rose stats. If Rose will be better next season i will make update of him, his 78 overalls is based on 13/14 season. Remember guys its sim, not arcade mode, no wishful ratings, almost all based on real stats, if u dont like it i strongly recommend Albys roster :wink:

Again, the gameplay is so realistic it makes me think i'm watching a real game (except for the graphics, but you have nothing to do with that), so i guess you are right in terms of the realism, and probably with the rating, and everything else..
So i would try a little bit more games (i do play 4x12), maybe when i'm not tired though...

P.s. You gave derrick rose a new cyberface, so THANK YOU, i couldn't find anyone else on the internet, and finally, you have done it! :bowdown:
P.s 2. i saw that joel embiid's profile face in the roster section has only half a face, it's really not important to me, but i though you'd like to know that

Hey Sko, Awesome Update!! I only have one thing to complain, It's about rotations. I think you know about Paul George's Injury, but you left him with full minutes and as a game starter, like if he was not injured. I don't know if you just forget about that or you are going to update injuries when season get started. Except for that, Great job, dude!!

I hope you guys enjoy it. It actually came together faster than I thought but there are a lot more plays I want to test so playbooks will be more diverse. In time, Skoadam and I have some pretty big plans for his project. I went pretty hard editing these two rosters and played my first game today, 1993 Sonics (me) vs. Suns. It was easily the most fun I've ever had playing a basketball game. Some things will need to be tweaked here and there so remember, these are the new bases. If you find anything crazy wrong with gameplay, please let Skoadam know because he is making a laundry list of things for me to do when I come back to editing in a few weeks.

The main things that is going to lower ratings more than you guys are accustomed to are:

- Lowered verticals - I calculate vertical ratings based off of the jump x 2 so a guy with a 35 inch vertical will have a 70. Most players in the NBA have between a 30 and 35 inch leap (check here http://www.draftexpress.com/nba-pre-draft-measurements/?page=&year=All&source=All&sort2=DESC&draft=0&pos=0&sort=12 and look at the max vert column). Most PG's have lower than a 70 because most can't jump out of the gym off a vert. Don't worry, they'll still dunk on you in-game. The lower verticals help reduce the amount of rebounds PG's get when they have higher vertical ratings than big men.

- Lowered Offensive and Defensive Awareness - To calculate these, I add Offensive Rating to Offensive Win Shares and I subtract Defensive Win Shares from Defensive Rating. Most of the players who you think of as being really high in these categories aren't when you go by these stats. Don't worry, the great offensive and defensive players will still be a pain to play against.

What makes this mod “sim”? Here are a few of the features that set this project apart from all others:

- Every art file (jerseys, arenas, cyberfaces, accessories, courts, dornas (advertisement at half court), etc is realistic and none will crash game play
- There is no missing art file in the entire project

Every player in every roster has:
- Accurate statistical ratings and tendencies to work with 2k's simulation engine while still providing realistic game play
- Realistic ratings and tendencies that affect game play but not the simulation engine ie dribbling, athletic ratings, post tendencies, etc.
- Realistic physical attributes that decrease after major injuries or as the player gets older
- Accurate play types
- Accurate contracts

- Accurately updated Coaching profiles and playbooks

- Draft classes that have realistic player information for every player

- A few slider sets designed to be a base for realistic game play

Sko, wanted to say that after a few games getting used to the roster, the game is amazing!
I've had only 3 games finished with over a hundred points to one of the teams, and that was quick game!
And slim, wanted to say that even though i don't really know who you are and it's probably i'm into modding for about half a year, i really think you made an amazing roster alongside sko, so thanks :applaud:

Thanks for this release. This is amazing. I was surprised by the new Atlanta logo, I'm a big fan of the bird holding basketballs.

I dont understand. You mean you cant see pacman logo or u mean that Hawks logo should be different.
What u mean by saying too many and ones? Too many fouls or ft% is high?

there is pacman logo on the scoreboard, but old pacman, not current one.

i don't agree on fouls, everything seems ok to me (although i only played few games).

btw, in order to make this new gameplay to work, do we need to use custom sliders/settings file for each separate roster? if that's the case, i don't like it that way because i use one settings file with sliders for all rosters.


p.s. there is updated version of new cavs court by utp (info from alybs thread). current version is inaccurate.

Can some1 post difference between new and old pacman.
I need information about overall number of fouls and % or number of shooting fouls.
In the future there will be maximum 3 settings/sliders file. 90 era and nowadays is way different in many aspects of basketball, u guys must understand this, this is sim mode right?

if so it means u are not using my retro rosters, in retro packs u can find all logos but i will add old hawk logo to 2015 zip packs. Im waiting for clearing Hawks logo aspect also.
Useless fouls, hmm i still dont understand. If there is some contact when shooting there must be some fouls also. 2k13 need more ft to be more realistic, if we lower some things there will be 8-10 FT per game, we need lot more.

thx for logos, will see what i can do.
Please dont tell me ure using default 2k sliders. IMO default sliders ruins literally everything no matter what roster u will use. In many cases it can be details, in others difference will be huge and for sure non realistic.

yes, i'm using default 2k SIMULATION slider settings, why? :) in the future, there should be only 3 settings/sliders files only = one for 80s, one for 90s and oen for all 2000s (including nowdays).

sko, you must know one thing - if you don't use "unlock all" settings file by jaosming i told you about several months ago, then you don't get all alternate jerseys unlocked.

that's why i use that settings file. it's something really important.
