For me personally, I would prefer a version of the roster that disregards summer league entirely. So, if a player is not actually under contract with a team yet, he doesn't appear on that team's roster (perhaps with the exception of 2nd round draft picks). Many of the guys who are trying for a shot in the league will not ultimately get a roster spot.

The only thing about not including ANYONE that isn't guaranteed is that some teams carry non-guaranteed players on their roster that have some talent. Folks like Patrick Beverley immediately come to mind. So they technically are not under a guaranteed contract, but the chances of them making the team is near 100%. I would have to make a bunch of judgment calls, which I don't like, but it could be done.

I'm strongly considering replacing the classic teams that are already gone in my roster with the summer league teams. Each team would have 6-10 players.

99.9% chance it's just your game. Are Hayward's legs still white? This means you've just accidentally overwritten Hayward's face with James Johnson. If this is the case, just go to Moddingway or search in NLSC and find a Hayward that you can replace it with.

I agree first fix the issues with this roster, then after the roster has been fixed and free agency is over if there is a demand for it put the summer league players in but it should be the very last thing. But i wouldnt put them into the classic teams, instead see if you can make a summer league team and add them into that. Maybe make a summer league version of every team for example there would be the bulls and then a separate team with just the bulls summer league players.

Well they aren't really a "waste of slots," they're going to be there anyway. Instead of being on a team though, they'd be in free agency. Most of the reason summer leaguers were added in the first place is to keep teams like the Hawks having a team of 3 people at the beginning of July! I'll probably drop them by the end of the weekend from the rosters, then re-evaluate because of the Las Vegas summer league.

This is a good idea, but remember there are only a limited number of team slots available because we haven't gotten a clone tool in Red MC yet. For the association mod to be easily transferrable, I've gotta keep the All-Star teams, Team Chuck/Shaq or rookies/elites whatever they call it, and the Ringers/Ballers for blacktop mode. That leaves me with a limited number of slots. The classic teams are bugged anyway in my roster, so it doesn't really make sense to keep them in there if they're just hidden. My roster isn't meant to be played with classic players (plenty of other rosters do that), it sets itself apart by being the most quick/frequent to update based on current events. Like I said to Medevenx above, all the summer leaguers will be dropped by the weekend because the rosters are starting to fill out now.

If there were to be two versions of each team (regular & summer league), I wouldn't create any extra players to put on the summer league team, it'd just pull from what is currently in the roster. So some teams could be as small as 5-6 players. But it'd still be interesting I guess, if playing with shitty players is your thing (I like it ). I also follow the NBA entirely too closely.

This is a great project! Do you happen to know the cfid used for Oladipo in Alby's roster? I can't even locate him by any attribute using the roster editor (I did with Med's roster though).

I just noticed an issue in the Pre FA rosters, the CF ID's are off, Nerlens Noel looks like caldwell-pope and a bunch of other faces are wrong.
Could you please just update the CF id's so that they match up with those in the Free Agency roster, should only take a few minutes just gotta do a copy and paste i imagine just copy the list of CF ids from the Free agency roster to the Pre-FA roster.
I tried to do it myself but i got an error message from the editor and im unfamiliar with Red MC still.

They are the same in both rosters. Oladipo is 10001. You can think of it as 9999 + overall pick. So Bennett is 10000, Otto Porter is 10002, and so on...

Nah. I'm gonna drop that roster in a day or two anyway, it's not even close to up-to-date. Some of the rookies switched around ID slots accidentally from Pre-Free Agency to Free Agency so it's not just a super easy copy-paste. Also those rosters have ridiculous #'s of players on the rosters (everyone has 15+ players), so it's not good for anything but play now. In fact, I'll just remove it now and save everyone the trouble. If you really want the correct faces and stuff, just change the players that were drafted in 2013 manually given the 9999 + overall pick formula I gave thelead.

Well they aren't really a "waste of slots," they're going to be there anyway. Instead of being on a team though, they'd be in free agency. Most of the reason summer leaguers were added in the first place is to keep teams like the Hawks having a team of 3 people at the beginning of July! I'll probably drop them by the end of the weekend from the rosters, then re-evaluate because of the Las Vegas summer league.

I like the idea of the summer league players in the free agency.

I felt it was only right to actually tell you my appreciation instead of just using your work and never expressing my gratitude. It sucks about the people stealing your work, but on the bright side--you got so many more honest followers/users of your work that really appreciate everything you do..I know it has to make it worth your while for us. Anyways, I probably follow the NBA as close as you, but don't have your talents for what you do--so again thanks! And also, I'm completely fine with the SL rosters and such..I'm one of those guys that cares about the end of the roster guy (never know who could be a diamond, lol).

I recently discovered that the albys roster works with association and my career but i dont like the rating system alby uses; i feel that it undervalues guards, and small forwards and overvalues centers.
While Med's roster crashes with association and my career during your first game.

Is it possible for me to copy the ratings from med's roster into alby's so that i can use it in my career mode?
Could someone explain to me how?
I have the free version of RED MC and the nba 2k13 roster editor.

Sidenote some players are missing from Alby's roster like James Southerland if you could fix that i think a couple others are missing too but i cant remember who.

im new to 2k on pc, but have been editing rosters on 360 for years...if youve ever posted on operationsports youre probably familiar with my work. im just figuring out how to add all the great mods and am blown away with how great of a job people on here do. loving 2k13, wish i wouldnt have waited so long.

btw, im seeing james johnson on hayward also so djcnerds and i must have dl some of the same cf packs or something.

I think you could fix it by using the Roster (Merge) Tool that Leftos has on here. There is no easy copy-paste fix because Medevenx's roster and Alby's rosters have different players in different ID slots.

Also the reason that James Southerland isn't in there is I based the rookies in each roster with their accompanying draft classes. Most of the players are the same, but there were a few differences.

So we should keep a copy of the 7/10 rosters if were interested in the summer league players?
