basketball110 said its a-ok to release that roster he made. Remember, no ratings yet, just basic appearance and height/weight
roster/ratings people, basketball110 said you can use this as a base if you want to get started with this database

thank you man

Has anyone found a database online with individual shot statistics, broken up by position on the court, i.e. shots underneath basket, shots from 5-15 feet, etc. (does the NCAA even keep track of this)?
Wed Dec 12, 2012 12:23 pm
I know it exists since it was used for NCAA 09 and 10 by EA, but I think it is third party and not through the NCAA. Probably not publicly available either.

Do you need anymore CF's guys because if you do ill be happy to convert some CF's to help with permission of course.
Wed Dec 12, 2012 10:57 pm
we have permission for anything in the CH 2k12 mod, and since the same people did 2k11, that one too (if the players are still around).

How do you get rid of the NBA Logo on the jerseys? Even if I delete the jersey texture so it is blank, an NBA logo still shows up.
Fri Dec 14, 2012 11:37 pm
that logo comes from the global.iff and is applies by the game. The only way to get rid of it is to use a uniform that does not have that patch. In this case, the 1970s retro iff files from the classic teams have uniforms without that patch. I just used those iff files as a base for the NCAA uniforms

Thank you for the effort, but unfortunately this isn't going to help if these are 11-12 players and ratings. I realize you dont want to put out inaccurate work with such few games, but we had these players' ratings from the mod last year. The great thing about mods like these is the ability to very easily update ratings...but if you want to wait until the season is half way over, that is fine.
I'll just whip something together so we can have something from this year as soon as I can.

Yea, nvm. Pretty sure me trying to rate real players will end
real well. I'll see what I can do for the remaining generic floors while we wait for a good roster

Jao, I'm currently working on a base roster for 2k13. I have 4 teams done currently (Ohio State, Duke, Indiana, Michigan). All ratings and tendencies are formula and data driven - no bias or anything. It takes some time because I have to copy shot location data game by game from CBS sports, but I can probably have a complete roster for 2013 in a week or so and I will upload when its done.

and you will receive many a

for that effort

You guy are on it with the ratings lol!
But what happened to the Cyberface progress last time I heard from any makers it was Darel requesting North Carolina lookalikes.
I'm currently doing a excel that all you need to do is copy and paste sports refernce team stats and it gives you a lot of selected attributes for each individual player. I already have a lot of things on getting ratings but I need a more quicker way..

If you want any help with simply copy/pasting, you could upload your spreadsheet if you want. I personally wouldn't mind doing some grunt work if it would help get these out quicker.

Here is my 2K13 Rating Calculator:
http://www.mediafire.com/view/?ielqll5yqsmlln9Feel free to check out the ratings, I already described the formulas in some detail about halfway down this page - I don't want to take up any more room by posting it again. Anyway I have 4 teams done - doesn't take too long you just copy the teams statistical data from sports-reference.com/cbb into the "INPUT TAB" and then go through each players game by game shot chart at CBS (go to CBSSPORTS.com, click on College BBall -> Teams -> Team your working on -> schedule, then click on each game's score where it will take you to a recap of that game, then click on "Gametracker" where you will find a shot chart app thing for each player. Just copy that data into the "Shot Location Tendencies" tab and it will spit out shot location tendencies and provide data for some of the ratings outputs too.)
DO NOT touch anything in the "INPUT CALCULATIONS" tab as it will mess up your data. Feel free to mess with the the formulas on the Output tab if you would like. The ratings are by no means perfect, but I used a compilation of rating calculators to put together what I think is a really good one. Credit to the people at this site:
https://www.2ksports.com/forums/showthr ... ht=formula (especially elhid) and this site:
http://www.operationsports.com/forums/c ... sheet.html (especially TarHeelsUNC) for providing research, explanation of ratings, and formulas that I have tweaked.
Also, the "Tendency Data" tab includes 2K's generic tendencies for the 30+ position specific "Play Styles." What I did when I tested these in 2K12 with the REDitor was copy and paste the whole row for a particular player into the reditor, then copy and paste the specific shot location data after. If you don't understand how to copy these into the roster editor, I can do that myself, but help in copying input data into the spreadsheet would be appreciated and speed up the process
If you want to help that would be great as well - if any of the input is confusing feel free to ask. Also feel free to try inputting a team you know well and commenting on the accuracy. There aren't really formulas for: clutch, consistency, hustle, potential, or emotion, so I just made everyone the same for those. Also for speed and quickness I just based it off position with the flexibility to edit based on unusual size/speed combinations.
Any way, sorry for the long post again. Like I said feel free to help and/or test these out, I have tried them in the 2K12 mod and they play very well. Barring any assistance I should be able to finish all of the teams in the mod within about a week or so, but that time frame will definitely decrease with some help!
Merry Christmas!
*** One other side note, because we are still early in the season, these ratings are very fluid, so some may seem way high or low due to players' small sample sizes. As the season goes on the ratings will be updated and will be more accurate. Because the NCAA has a shorter season than the NBA these will never be as accurate as NBA 2K13's but the goal is to get them as close as possible and make them play realistically.
Tue Dec 18, 2012 12:33 pm
UPDATE: Just finished main ratings for Syracuse, Arizona, and Louisville, Gonzaga, Michigan State, Wisconsin, San Diego State, UNLV and Vermont - these teams still need shot location stats. This gives us 13 teams mostly done - over 1/3 of the way there!
Edit: Just realized Arizona isn't in the game... hopefully they make it to the final version of the mod

Guys on the 2k12 project thread a guy posted that it was possible to have NBA 2k12 play 2 20 minutes halfs with a 35 second shot clock and he gave a link I just can't remember which page it was on. That would be awesome guys
Tue Dec 18, 2012 2:20 pm

"viewtopic.php?f=141&t=82475
This post/video shows that you can mod how my player works.
For College Hoops 2K12 you can quarter lengths. Change 4 quarters to two halves.
You can change the amount of teams.
You can change the length of seasons.
You can change the length of playoff series from 7 to 1.
You can turn off trades.
It's crazy the amount of editing you can do to accurately model NCAA Basketball" - corysmart
I think this is what beast10 was talking about.. Clicked the link but looked like it only applied to my player - could be wrong though I didn't watch the video or anything, maybe someone can figure it out.
