exrxixxx, if I wanted to make NCAA logos for your ESPN scoreboard, can you send me the PSD template, and any help possible on how to Save the files so they'll be able to be imported?

Will this DDS plug in work? -- https://developer.nvidia.com/nvidia-tex ... -photoshop

Thanks.

"Hello, I tried to use NBA TV Scoreboard and I like it but I have one trouble... Second team (that plays at home) doesn't have a team colour. I mean.. This is diaphanous. Look at the picture http://s020.radikal.ru/i721/1303/c0/eaae3b20ab9f.png "
He also said that some teams like the bucks have their scoreboard colour grey.(the problem with the home colour dissapearing still applies)

Could you help him please ?

Distance between the bars is very small.
I guess your friend's resolution is too low,
I have created texture with size of 3072x3072 px and space for team colors were 18 px.
Max size that could be imported to the game correctly is 1024x1024. This is 3 times less quality, this also means space is 18:3=6
6 px if you'd play with resolution xxxx X 1024 (width).
But if you play let's say width xxxx x 768, then only 4.5 px available for space that is set for theam colors.

Try to fix:
1- Change resolution to something higher and see if the colours starts to be displayed OK.

2- try to move team colors a little bit with any hex editor;

Offset
5A4EE - "CD" substitute to a) CC, b) CE
75C3E - "27" substitute to a) 26, b) 28

I have tried everything, but looks like you will not be able to edit my logos unless you have adobe fireworks (it could be macromedia fireworks too, it mean the age of "fireworks does not matter, all of them will work).
I will write short tutorial with pics, but you have to have "fireworks on your machine.

Also download GIM 2.8 http://www.gimp.org/
Install dds pluggins from here http://libregraphicsworld.org/blog/entry/normalmap-and-dds-plug-ins-updated-for-gimp-2.8

See you...

Open 000.fw.png with "Fireworks" (download logo template here http://www.sendspace.com/file/6fpos4 )

Image

On the right side choose "Layers", then "Path" that is responsible for color.
Move mouse pointer on coloured square ... use small bottom-right rectangle to change color.

Then change texts (font "Klavika Bold" is used for ESPN logos)

That is enogh for logo editing, we can start importing it to the game.

"Save as" Fireworks PNG.

Open GIMP. Drag and drop your PNG to GIMP window.
We are not editing here, just use File-Export, on the bottom-left Select File Type DDS image.
Press Export.
New table will pop up.

Compression - BC3/DXT5
Also you must activate Mipmaps. Select Generate mipmaps.

Image

Open logoxxx.iff file that you need with 3DM NBA2K12 tool.

Image

In the left top bar choose 00000000, the logo image will be displayed.
On the logo press right mouse button, select highlighted text. This will let you import your own DDS file.

After Save thee changes as shown here..... new table will popup, press OK.

Image

FINISH. You have modded logoxxx.iff file.

1- you want scoreboard with no logos (have you ever saw that it works with "default" logos?)
2- you saw a game last night on TV

Where is logic between these two?

Anyway... I will make daltonic version of NBA TV.

VOTE pls everybody (who wants non colored) whic colour has to be painted instead of team colors.
In example grey and pure white.
Red, blue, orange... ?

And that game was broadcasted on ESPN, that doesn't make any sense.

Anyway, I like the grey one.

I would be great if you release one like in your last picture without colors (the above one with the grey stripe!)...it just look amazing!

By no means it can be better as colored version, but as I said daltonic version will be released

BTW, I'd preffer white over grey.
But this is up to you.

So far:...
GREY: 2
WHITE: 0
REST: 0

I like the grey version better (at least from the screenshot that you posted). I prefer the colored ones myself, but I understand that some people might be using custom logo files already so an alternative would be nice for them.

Hi, exrxixxx, at first, i want to say Thanks and Congrats for the great job you have done. I have downloaded the last version of NBA TV and ESPN TV scoreboards for 16:10/4:3 monitors. It works fine, it shows on the screen with logos etc... But my problem is that it doesn´t align to the center on MY screen. I play with a 1024x768 resolution and this is the result to put the scoreboard.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/69510479@N03/8548295195/in/photostream/
As you can see, the scoreboard is left align. The 2k13 watermark is setting in its place.
I can´t use a highly resolution, so, Can you tell me how can I align the scoreboard for myself, i mean, which program can i use to fix that ? I don´t wanna distract you from other importants things. Thanks

There is no any program to move scoreboards to left or right, everything is done manually hex editing hundreds of offsets in the newscorebug.iff file.
If you moniors does not have aspect ratio of 16:10 or 16:9 nothing will help you.

Ps.s If you want there is 2k watermark removal - download FOX scoreboard, inside gooverlaystatic.iff file. place it to the main nba2k13 folder

here it is bro.

i made it bigger and compatible to the statsboard so that when it comes out it gives a sliding effect, and it slides back in at the back of the scoreboard.

can u do that man? it would really be the best TNT scoreboard out there.
thanks man :D

This is scoreboard from 2012.
It was made by Ariel wit Sixers85 texture, not by me.
TNT does not use such overlay anymore.
I do not have any interest in developing what is already dead.

oh okay man, i have a question though.

how do u edit an existing scoreboard and what tools do u use?

I use:
BLENDER with Python for editing some of 3D stucutres
Adobe Fireoworks for graphic editing
3DM NBA2K12 and Nba2KX_ModTool 2k12 for importing/exporting DDS subfiles of *.iff
GIMP for making quality resizing of graphic objects and converting DDS-PNG and PNG-DDS
Neo Editor for Hex editing.

Please be aware that 95% of scoreboard is made by hex editing (I mean it does not matter how big your TNT texture is in Photoshop if it is written in the newscorebug.iff it can't be displayed larger than "inch x inch".

I have read this thread. This is a good start.

your nba2k13.exe is damaged by modding.
Use original or other that is not "tightened jerseys", etc
