Run it, play around with the number of chunks, replace bfg.dat with a dat of your own, choose other offsets to replace another song, it should all work.

First 7z has the compiled EXE (needs .NET 4.5), second 7z has the source code. Have fun, I'll be back to do more.

NOTE: Both bfg.dat and jukeboxmusic.bin need to be in the same folder as the NBA2KAudio.exe for now. I'll make sure to use my magic to make this a much better tool, this is what I could do in the span of 10 minutes. Both the Starting Offset and Number of Chunks need to be in Decimal (Base 10), not Hex. Starting Offset for Mercy is 0. As you can see in the code, it automatically jumps to where it should replace the seeking numbers and then to where it should replace the data.

Someone has to try it.. i cant sorry...

I'll work on it some more, but I'll need to somehow figure out where each song starts and ends in the jukeboxmusic.bin file so that I know how many chunks are available to replace in each song, and its duration. Other than that, I'll have the tool's first version ready very soon.

I have posted all chunk locations and song starts-ends

Yup. I did a bit of research of my own and I can proudly say that with your invaluable help nesa24, I'm almost done building this:

I've successfully replaced Mercy with a song of my own!

The song skips twice (it's 2 minutes long, so 2 skips is nothing) at some points which we'll have to research, but it's fully working otherwise!

I'll have the first version up soon.

GUYS... As a normal human being, could you plz came down to earth (where people eat and try to sleep) and explain what your are talking about... ???

OR EVEN BETTER... Make a damn tool and explain how it works to us (the majority of nlsc) like we are 6 yr old childs???

I really admire your effort and inteligence, but having a tutorial and a tool would OUTFREAKINSTANDING! (Y)

As i'm not ashame at all to tell that i'm feeling like a donkey looking to a castle! LOL :roll:

I know that there is no other way, you gotta dive deeply to the program language and to the little details of it... We are just outsiders looking to a chemical experience... Like the donkey above. :facepalm2:

music.iff may be relevant to figuring out sizes and such. game crashes without it, references the jukebox file directly, 24 references to something

nesa24, I want to make the tool automatically detect songs/files within the .bin files. The magic string for chunks seems to be hex 69A1BED2 at offset +0x0 if I'm not mistaken, while I've noticed a pattern of 2A317362 at offset +0x66 of each song. The latter hex code appears a few more times than it should, but you can just check if it appears +0x66 from the start of a chunk. If it does, it's the start of a new file (for example a new song in jukeboxmusic.bin). If it doesn't, you ignore it.

However, although I see 69A1BED2 in other .bin files to denote the start of a chunk (e.g. draft_lines.bin), I don't see 2A317362. Can you help me as to how you determined where each song/file starts and ends?

I did post 2-3 times about it

offset 24 is the key

About song sizes (end of song chuck) i figure it out on and posted on 19/05/2013

start of file + offset 24 value = 00
00003A62 + offset 24 value = 01
....
000CF430 + offset 24 value = 39 (57dec)

now after it
000D1D20 ( next zone with 69A1BED2 ) + offset 24 value = 0

so chunk ID(section id) is at +0x24 of section start

and to get location of every chunk you can search 69A1BED202000000CD05 ( with find all instances ) in HexEdit Workshop

EDIT: Whenever you have some time, please try and see if we can fix the minor skipping. The 1-2-3-4-5-6 trick works for most chunks, but some will still skip unfortunately.

upload and tell what songs skip
and i will try to find solution for that issue

Also, I'm not sure, but I think NBA 2K13 can't figure out when a song has ended in order to go to the next one if I fill any missing song data with 0s in order to match up the length, but I could be wrong.

The NBA 2K Audio Editor is compatible with NBA 2K iterations previous to NBA 2K13. I've tested it with 2K12's jukeboxmusic.bin, I don't have 2K11 handy to test it out to make sure though.

looks like i have found reason for sound micro skipping and stoping of music with some songs
in next 2-3 days i will explain and post code for fixing
