I followed all steps but i cant get it work i go to appdata then to the online update the to the newscorebugfile.iff then properties then check the read only. then i open the game nothing happens with the scoreboard any help out there is appreciated.

I never use online data in my 2k13 game. (I don't really see the point since I download everything from NLSC... jersey, court, CF etc)

So it was pretty simple for me. I just copy and paste the newscorebug.iff to the main directory. All mods I download just go straight there.

Edit: I checked out other scoreboards...

Personally, TNT scoreboard is my favourite. It just works so well with pop-up notification like fouls and out of bound. Black scoreboard with black pop ups makes it look just perfect.

ESPN board is good but it makes those pop-ups look so out of placed. I like NBC board but maybe I will use it for the classic match ups. NBC time clock is bit off aligned in my screen though.

Substitute the newscorebug.iff

at C:/Users/Your User name/AppData/Roaming/2K sports/NBA 2K13/Online Data/downloads/
and
at C:/Program Files/2k sports/NBA2K13.

then in
C:/Users/Your User name/AppData/Roaming/2K sports/NBA 2K13/Online Data/downloads/

right click on newscoreboard.iff file and select 'read only'

NBB: this tip is tested for original dvd game, I don't know if it works with other exe or global mods files....

For some reason I cant get this patch to work. I have been patching 2k for years and never had any issues with any of the patches. The only thing that I can think of is that this year I have opted for the Steam version as opposed to the normal retail CD copy. Can someone please help? Also I noticed this isn't the only patch that doesn't work. I also can't seem to get the Knicks darker away jerseys to work either. VERY FRUSTRATING!!!

- Delete the Online Data folder after you make a backup. If you lost the files, you can get them back from here. It's updated through Jan, 3rd.
- Install Generic Mod Enabler, read the instructions and download it here. I believe that you need to install it to your 2K13 folder.
- Create a "downloads" folder and then put into the "MODS" folder whatever files you need from the Online Data, in this case you need to put "newscorebug.iff".
- Activate the folder and you're ready..

Sometimes Keep My Mod gets this mod reverted back to its original state even after I force to keep it modded, so I uninstalled KMM and use this way instead. I don't know why it only happens to newscorebug.iff, good to know it's working for you..

I actually just noticed the 'Only for offline' part of your post. What about online users? Is it possible to use this scoreboard? I tried copying the patch file into the 2ksports downloads folder and that didn't work..

Just moved the Online Data folder to my desktop and now those patches work. I guess that's what I'll do from now on. But how do you stop the game from auto updating? Is that the keep my mod tool?

1- True or similar TNT font (hex edit)
2- Shot sclock red background (hex edit)
3- Lighter black background colour (hex edit)
4- to move Doris Burke and other flyouts more to the left
5- create TNT style "Doris Burke" environment
6- etc.

I hope to release a very unpolished version tomorrow morning (after NFL and some sleep). I hope Sixers85 has nothing against that even if the texture is made by him.
There still a lot of things to be done with the scoreboard, but for hardcore players (especially who plays Franchise) that should be Ok I hope.

You may use TNT 2012 as it is not mine, I just fixed some problems.
The next overlay TNT 2013, which hopefuly will be released tomorrow, will not fit for "global", but you can use it anyway if you like

There are still some things unclear what max quality can be imported to the game, but 512x512 is obviously too low.
Anything + 1024x1024 plus would be OK, I will resize it to lower one if needed later.

Timeouts dashes are only graphic. There is no such function in the game to get them work.

That should not bother you. In any case we would need to disable a lot 3d functions in the scoreboard and final result would be the same.
This time this is 2k12 edited, works for 2k13 and for 2k12 (hopefuly).
