roster editor has nothing to do with name editing, names dont even come from the roster, they are assumed through CFID and a txt file.

something got screwy with name editing, either use RED MC to edit names, or if you hex edit don't change lengths

also, not what this thread is intended for, next time please make a thread in the patching help forum



How do I fix player names? The names are correct in Roster Editor but appears incorrect in the game. Pls check. Thanks

The default roster file appears correctly for Nick and Thaddeus Young. I have another .ROS file that causes their names to change. How do I fix the .ROS file that contains the wrong names in the game? What may have caused the names to change since the names are spelled correctly in Roster Editor? I don't have RED MC when the names changed in the game so it wouldn't be really logical to purchase RED MC to edit names since the names have changed without using RED MC. I believe it's in Roster Editor. I just need to determine where in Roster Editor because I might have accidentally edited something there.


If anyone had encountered the same problem and has solved it pls share it.
