(I couldn't) add a CF to created player

Postby Benuydere on Tue Jan 01, 2013 5:15 am

yOv!

I've renamed my cyberface file to png7634.iff that doesn't overlap any other and put it in main NBA 2K13 folder. I created a player. I opened the roster in Roster Editor. GenericF was unchecked and CFID value was changed to 7634 on my created player. Saved it. Went in game. Loaded the roster and saw my created player has NO HEAD. That part of his body is empty. I thought maybe it was because my cyberface file was broken and i changed the CFID to 1928 which normally belongs to Don Nelson. Still same, no head.

What could be the problem? What should i do? Can you test it in your own game maybe? Thanks in advance.

It depends on which roster your player is based on. If it is a new roster its likely you didn't have the correct custom offsets and the save is corrupt. I doubt you can fix it but maybe you can. I hope you backed the original save up before changing the face. Go to the thread that has the new custom offsets and hopefully they will match your roster, if not I suggest for you to use another roster to create your player. Its only an idea but I can't think of any other reason for headless guys except missing or corrupt CF's and you seem to have tested another face already so that rules that out.

First i tried with Med's roster but then deleted all files of the game and installed it as untouched again. No good. Here's what i do respectively:

1. Save Roster named as D0N3.ROS
2. Load that roster
3. Create a player
4. Save roster
5. Reset roster
6. Open Roster Editor, find the created one and uncheck GenericF, change CFID to anything hasn't been using by another player for example 5167.
7. Rename the .iff file to png5167.iff and put it in the main folder.
8. Save Players, close the Roster Editor.
9. Back in the game, load D0N3.ROS
10. Check free agents to find our guy and did: HEADLESS.

I don't know anything about offsets. I'm gonna try to figure out but if someone calls available for testing the CF in his/her game, would be great. Btw it doesn't belong to any player. I've sent the guy my pics and made a cyberface of them. It's 7 mb, way bigger than usual, i guess.

That could be the problem, sounds like he used bigger textures than might be allowed in the game? Post your file on mediafire or GameFront and I will take a look at it.

Or rename your CF to png2600.iff and load this roster, It is a temp roster I use for all my test.

This roster is the original DVD roster with the first 6 players on the 76ers CFID changed to 2600-2605. If you use one of those numbers and the CF still is headless you will know the face is borked somehow. 2600-2605 should not overwrite anything as they were not used by the game.

I've sent the link of cyberface via PM. I'm gonna try what you said later soon. Thanks.

I couldn't download it because "File Blocked for Violation."
