Please HELP ME with The Perfect Ball

Here I go again. I'm trying to find the perfect ball color and textures for nba 2k13,searching everywhere...and I've found it: darker(more darker),re-texturized,beautiful. A guy, "michaelvlutz" posted it in ModdingWay,but the link is off!and I can't find another link! So i've decided to create one by myself,with 3DM and GIMP. When I open the .iff file with 3DM, I get 4 pictures....which of theese pictures I have to get darker? 'couse I've tryed with the orange leather texture,but when I do,my ball gets "pios"... and is it normal that 3DM doesn't show me the 3D "model"? when I click the button it shows me nothing! I have to try the ball in game to see the result of my modifications!
