Can't reinstall NBA2K13

Hi guys!
I have a serious problem re-installing Nba2k13.
Story was this: Got a problem with headless rookies and wanted to go back to vanilla Nba2k13 via the uninstall/repair the program option. I'm on Win7 64. All drivers are up to date. Tried running everything as administrator.
Suddenly the installer (I own a hardcopy of the game) wouldn't run anymore. It crashes after language selection.
I tried to remove all files manually and killed the registry entries. Nothing happened. Deactivated my anti-virus software. Nothing happened.
Any suggestions how to reinstall the game without reinstalling windows?

EDIT: Really killed my MSI installer. Only clean reinstall of Windows did work. Thread can be deleted.

That's what you get for fiddling with registry entries that you don't clearly know.

iirc if your MSI is fucked up you can reinstall it by downloading a copy from the Microsoft website.


Yes, I bumped this thread up so people who have the same problem can have another option instead of reinstalling Windows.

It HAS BEEN a possible solution for some cases but it didn't work for me, as I'm using Win 7 64 and Microsoft refuses to let you download the MSI installer for "newer" versions of Win (you can sitll download it for XP and other outdated versions of Windows).
And yeah, I take all the blame for causing that problem.
