Coach And Assistant

I'm really curious about coach and assistant coach effect in game (association mode), do they has any effect in game like in training or bonus on court or something, or they're just for showed? If you know anything please tell me (I'm playing Hornets and the coach's stat rating is not really good and the commentor keep blabing about him so I'm on the verge of firing him but wonder is there any "side-effect" beside the budget count )

The only difference between coaches are their salary and profiles. I don't think they do much else since profiles can always be changed to fit a player's style.

Assistant coaches don't do anything. At least that's what I've experienced. When I play association, I go for a cheap assistant coach and use the rest of the staff salary on prospect scouts or the trainer to heal players fast. But for the most part, I think you're right. They're just for show.
