Changing accessory colors

Im not really an accessory guy but this is the one thing that starting to annoy me. I really cant understand why 2k would change the way colors were assigned in player edit mode. Black accesorys or 3 different color combos looks horrible in game. (Example of my issue would be black at home or white away.)

What im looking for.
team 1= White-home Black-Away
team 2= 1st team color-home Dark/2nd team color-Away.

Assuming this isnt easy or at the top of the priority list but any help would be apprieciated. Dont mind doing it myself but need to be pointed in the right direction. Even better if its an easy fix.
