[How To] Disable Autosave Using Cheat Engine

Postby PeoplesChamp on Sun Oct 14, 2012 5:36 am

For those who'd like to play NBA 2k13 with autosave disabled, I believe I've been able to find the memory address.

Requirements:
- Cheat Engine
- Memory Address which I've added in a CH table (Attachment)

Values:
0 ----> Autosave Disabled
1 ----> Autosave Enabled

This should work on both My Career and Association saves/modes. Just keep in mind to manually save any file you're using after you've chosen to disable autosave. Leftos will probably add this in his Workaround Tool next week.

PeoplesChamp, great find. Mind giving me the static address for this so that I can add it to the Workarounds tool and release today? I don't have NBA 2K13 on this computer, so I can't get the static address from Cheat Engine (I think it shows up once you link Cheat Engine to the nba2k13.exe process).

I saw that. I need the address that isn't nba2k13.exe+something, the one that shows up once you select the nba2k13.exe process in Cheat Engine.

Got it in the tool, can someone test it out via the tool and verify?

Changing the Autosave option from Off to On seems to be working well and the value seems to be changing from 0 to 1 as it should. The other way around though, when you disable Autosave through the Workaround Tool, the value in CE doesn't seem to immediately be changing from 1 to 0. It takes a while for some reason. Not sure why, Leftos.

There are times where the value doesn't change at all when disabling the Autosave function using the tool.

I'm an idiot. I've been very distracted today due to a personal issue, and the simplest of things elude me.

Just released a new version (0.3.1.1), does it work now?
