Combining new Roster downloads into current ones

Postby Chris-CP3-Paul on Wed Oct 10, 2012 2:29 am

I asked this question on Modding Way no answer, no roster threads on here that I see from a quick glance.
For all the updated rosters that are about to come out, how can I combine the new players into my existing custom roster ??

I spent a LOT of time on the default roster customizing every player's shoes from generic, and giving them more realistic attributes (quite a few players were overlooked for example Eric Bledsoe of the Clippers is a BEAST of an on ball defender, I think his D rating was around 40 or something) in any case.... literally days were spent making the changes to make the game more realistic.

I'm not trying to undo all of that just because of a new roster update which adds only a few players I'm interested in, which doesn't make sense to me either, I mean are we supposed to customize rosters every single time a new one comes out ??
I would just like to add a few players missing from default rosters into mine that's all

I would like to know this as well. Correct me if I'm wrong anyone, but I do not think you can just combine roster files. It's ALL on ONE file. "Roster.ROS" In other words, you would HAVE to start over with every new roster update... A better option would be to continue to manually import and export players on teams just as you are now. Then edit them to your liking. Sorry... :|

Roster Merge could do this if you had REDitor installed for 2K12.

You won't be able to do what you want until REDitor and Roster Merge are made 2K13 compatible.

2K isn't going to make it easy for you to carry your edits over. You either use the new roster as they give it to you and do all your edits over again, or you don't. They don't care.

Until REDItor comes out, you're stuck with either updating the same roster, or just waiting for one that's "good enough" as a base to come out, so that any further updates 2K does are irrelevant to you.
