2k13 PC vs Console differences

Talk about NBA 2K13 here.

2k13 PC vs Console differences

Postby ebucemag on Tue Oct 02, 2012 7:19 pm

I wanted to start a thread about the differences between the two versions.
If someone has both a console and PC version of NBA 2k13 and could compare gameplay, graphics, and/or feauture differences that would be great.
Hopefully this year we get self-shadowing.

In Readme file system requirements of NBA2K13 is different from previous NBA2k9-2k12 (which were identical). So, maybe at last we will have better graphics with self-shadowing

Any features or modes missing (obviously all-star weekend)?

no VC currency, no My Player Closet (clothes), no MyTEAM, no All Star Weekend, no 3on3 Blacktop Online with MyPlayers, no Online with friends outside of Online Association,
Opinions are my own.

Just think of how superior PC version would be if it had everything. they can't sell many copies if they don't put effort in! if PC version was identical to console version plus online, people would be more inclined to buy it, since it's much better..and cheaper

Wow. PC users must be really low on 2k's priority list. Fucking annoying.

At least it's cheaper, I guess. Still, a slap in the face to a very passionate portion of the fanbase.

And no self-shadowing too? That has been missing on the PC for three years now!

So, is it like saying that the console version is a better thing to buy than the PC version?

I haven't seen a single reference to NBA Today and similar features, are those still there?
Also seems that My2K rank doesn't carry over from 2K12, is it true?

jmmontoro, NBA Today must be there, because when you start an Association there's an option that should be enabled soon, allowing you to start from the start of the season, or the current point in time.

NBA Today and RealNBA all that shit is there. Showed up after a few games, guessing after the online kicked in.

My2K rank doesn't carry over. On PC you have to create a whole new account too.

Not much cheaper. $70 for PS3, $60 for PC. I ended up just pre-ordering PS3 again.

Has anyone tried to see if the All-Star DLC is in the game like the pre-order teams were? Or is it a no go?

Does the PC version have an autosave option? Damn console saves every other screen.
