In retrospect, we probably should've paid closer attention to the features lists on 2ksports.com, which are reproduced here in our Wiki:
http://www.nba-live.com/nbalivewiki/ind ... tures_List

The bare bones list for the PC compared to the 360 and PS3 should've clued us in. That's not to defend stripping those features from the PC version, but it seems we missed a red flag.

Or just not produced a PC game at all.

Really considering not buying it this year.

Dont do that. Wait till it is like $15 on Steam around Christmas. Game will be a lot of fun regardless of a few things missing. Still has all the features from last year plus the much better gameplay. Not to mention online on PC seems to be enjoyable as well from what Ive heard

Not an online guy, so I'm not particularly fussed about that. And I haven't touched 2k12 in months.

I can't even begin to believe this.
Im just...
WOW, just WOW!!

With my copy incoming this is big letdown. I'm not saying that this feature made the game, but lately I had begining to grow tired with all the hype surrounding 2k13 cause I knew it was some unjustified after all the gameplay footage and that was one of the features I was really excited about, since I'm a die hard 'my player' my player. I don't go online, I don't play quick matches, quick ranked, nothing and they STILL fail in that ONE mode that makes them great.
I do not own a 360 nor a PS3.

What. the. f*ck. do. we. have. to do. to get the COMPLETE GAME?

There's always something
And this Ronnie 2k idiot twitting about stupid sh*t

All I know is I HAVE JUSTIN BIEBER IN THE GAME
BUT I CANT BUY A SINGLE TEAM SLEEVE OR CAP, PAD, ETC

I hope I don't offend non of you guys.

Goodbye

I sympathize with your frustration. They are trying to shortend the PC version so that people go buy the console version instead. It must be because of the pirating thing.

meh... you can play pirate games on consoles regularly, same as on PC, so i don't think that's a reason m8. I have PC and Xbox360 so i would play both, but big (N) to 2K Sports!

is there any hope for someone to unlock MyPlayer Closet or even All-Star Weekend? if there's any files proving any existance of this content on PC?

nope, mycloset stuff and myteam were removed from the game despite some files sticking around, and the all star weekend dlc is missing from the game disc (it is about 120mb for the xbox)

no chance for any of it.
Opinions are my own.

Of course it's not. It's a convenient excuse for the developers' incompetence and/or laziness.

how/why is it the developers' fault? its harder to take out an integral part of a game to port it to PC than it is to just port it all over.

I didn't have 2K or any one developer in mind. It's just the overall situation with PC ports - most developers put out GTA IV-like shit on the PC or don't bother at all. Then they bitch about poor PC sales and blame piracy for all evil of the world.

In this case however, I don't see an excuse for skipping features in the PC version. If they really care so much about online cheating (doubtful in my opinion), why not just disable the ability to purchase VC with real money and keep everything else (the points for money thing is the only part they could possibly be worried about here)? That would have been a lot easier than wiping it out and it wouldn't piss off PC gamers - or not that much, at least. I definitely wouldn't spend money to get those points anyway and I don't know many people who would.

It's funny cause they said, "YOU DON'T WANNA GO ONLINE AND RUN INTO A 99 rated player"

So according to 2k, if I hack my player and get it to 99 IT IS NOT THE SAME thing as if buy 20 thousand VC points and get it to 99.
What is really the difference? The profit.

I hate that they assume that no one with a pc buys an original game. F*ck them.
It's like dude make your game and I'll go in steam and buy it in a heartbeat, but NO.

But HEY, at least I got Justin Bieber tweeting at My player now.

why did dey do this stuff?

do they prefer PS3 and XBOX360 Community???
its quite unsatisfying finding out that My Player Closet and other stuff are not included in the PC Version

its like, Pc gamers of 2k are limited in this cool stuff. . .

i hope expert modders, or anyone can make solutions,
i dont know,

so upset

The consoles are a priority, as they have a far bigger market share. Because certain features like MyCLOSET and MyTEAM involve Virtual Currency, which can be purchased with real money through the Xbox Live Marketplace and Playstation Network Store, they were removed from the PC version.

There's nothing we can really do about it, though with the right tools and know-how it is possible to modify the textures of the default MyPLAYER clothes to add some custom gear.
