After testing every retro mod for 2K13 in the last couple of days (and updating the bio for many players in the Retroman's mods) here is what I've found for comparison. These retro mods are far from being perfect and because they use different roster packages each with different IDs it is quite a mess if you install them simultaneously. For everybody's sake these two guys should team up for a better NBA experience

Retroman's 1997-1998 mod

- great graphic experience, accurate teams, rich rosters, audio very good, great draft classes

- outdated bios, overall rating good/in detail rating below average for the players

- unplayable as Association

Retroman's 2001-2002 mod

- great graphic experience, accurate teams, rich rosters, audio very good, great draft classes

- wrong bios (*I fixed them all by myself), overall rating good/in detail rating below average for the players (*someone might want to fix this although it can take weeks!)

- playable as Association

* Here is my update with the fix: http://rapidshare.com/files/2048878907/ ... Season.ROS
Skoadam's 1999-2000, 2006~ mods

- great graphic experience, accurate logos and CFs (no wonder they look so great as this is a compilation taken from Hawk's 2K12 huge retro mods package!)
- overall ratings good/in details ratings just average (all players have about the same shooting ratings e.g. 70 in FT, it looks like the data was inserted without checking the real stats)

- only half accurate bios: age right, experience +1 year, draft information in player's cards missing or incomplete in most of the cases

- salaries and contracts missing

- many players missing from the official roster, their audio as well

- playable as Association

* Here is my 1 week long work with the multiple fixes to correct this mod otherwise graphically excellent and prepare it for a more enjoyable association gaming experience: http://rapidshare.com/files/2499278046/ ... Season.ROS
Some of the changes I've made to the original roster file (because I don't have a licensed RED MC I couldn't touch the Bobcats & other stuff so you wil have to live with it):
- emptied the annoying FA list of players who were not playing in 1999
- created about 30 players and added to their real teams (brought back and moved to PHX one of my fav players who's case is quite unique in the NBA: Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf)
- changed NBA experience (-1 year), updated the draft information, adjusted FT numbers to the real FT average per career (no other ratings have been touched!) for every player
- fixed a few audios but there are still tens of players with audio IDs missing (I could fix them all if anyone can provide me the real audio IDs)
- put the real salaries and 90% accurate contracts for every player
- deleted stats and records so a new database will build up while you play your association - but I didn't touch the awards column so the game won't crash
