Portrait Bug

Hi all,
I just encountered a bug I've never had before: essentially my portraits aren't loading in my 2k13 game. They're being replaced by a colored square, and after scrolling through a few teams my game crashes. Doesn't matter the roster or the mod (I use Generic Mod Enabler, so my 2K13 base folder is like a clean install). Any suggestions?
