2K servers unavailable for 2 days? Anyone else?

Hi,

Purchased game (PC) 1 week ago, has been running fine for online and also NBA Today has picks of the day etc between breaks and updates to coming games. Since yesterday on start up I get the same server not available at this time message, so no online play. Although i seem to get the following days team games in NBA today for the current day but no picks of the day or adverts between qaurters/half time.

No setting have been changed on firewall, game is fully open, and no other real changes have happened to make it fail. I opened firewall completely just to test and I get the same message. Is it a location issue (UK) is everyone else ok? Its been all day yesterday and also all day today for me. Prior to that it was completely fine, and as I say no modem/router changes have happened & other online games and net is fine.

I checked official forum/twitter, but no sign of a report on it.

Are there any known niggles like this I should know about? anything under my game saves or Cache that can bug it out?

2K don't have a great record when it comes to their online support, so downtime can't be ruled out. Just checked though and it seems to be working fine for me at the moment.

No, I dont use anything but ENB & FXAA ... even when I use this it was working prior to 2 days ago.

I put the game back to vanilla (have a complete copy of the game folder from install un touched), I ran this without any injectors and I get the same.

I tried removing my profile & settings files temporarily, when I launch the game goes into create a player as it did on first install, but just before I still get the cannot connect message. I just loaded again today and im getting the same ... I get this sinking feeling this isn't going to go away any time soon .

Shame as it has been working fine for an entire week since flawless install.

I did goto nb2k myplayer webpage and change the password, I set a password reset through the my player account in-game which worked via web app to do this, funny that it seems to be after this (guessing) that this problem has happened. I cant think how changing that would cause a problem? Any know bugs with that? After all I cant get server in game to check the myplayer account in-game anyway now. Web app is fine logging in with new password though.

I am now. One other question, if servers are not connecting how is it that each day NBA Today still updates with todays date and team games? No stats will show though and I dont get the NBA Today logo (showing offline I guess) ... does this mean its partially working?

I dont get any stats/NBA Today adverts for up coming games, share section is blanked out online option = the 2k erver error.

I don't think any of us can really help you, even though i can assure you are not the only one with this exact problem. I have reports that
ppl from Poland, Italy, Spain and the States are having similar issues with the game. Online is working well and then all of a sudden you get
"The 2k Sports server is temporarily unavailable....blah blah blah" or similar msg. This one guy is waiting over a month and still no online and
even which is worse no response from 2k support whatsoever. Imo your best bet is to contact 2k support again, provide them with screenshots of your
game and cd key + a screenshot of the msg you get in-game and hope they get back at you in about 2 weeks with a new cd key so you can have a clean/new installation. I would not advise re-installing windows or changing password via nba2k.com which seems to cause account issues as well aka no online.

Well thats interesting becuase it was end of weekend that in-game I changed password via the my player account page to send en email, i got the email and I then set new password on 2k's site. Funny that its around that time or the next day onwards I get an error.

Im thinking that changing via in game is causing some online account sync issue, because I still get nba today updating the days games and date, just no stats or picks or anything else. So its clearly getting to servers, so im thinking it must be account/password sync seeing as you mention the same.

Looks like im stuffed for the rest of playing this game online then, oh well, offline permanent it is .
