Windows 8 & 2KX MOD TOOL

I am new to the world of modding but love the fact that you have freely given so much of your time and knowledge. I am so happy that the modding community has created an NCAA game. I am retired military and have a lot of time on my hands and am looking to learn as much as possible so I may be able to begin contributing in the 2k13 Mod.

I Went through all the tutorials and took a lot of notes. I have windows 8 on my computer and when I installed java it said they recommended windows 7 but that you could install anyways. It said it loaded correctly but when I loaded the the 2KX Mod Tool at the point where you click on the install on modtool.jar it does not open like it was shown in the tutorial.

Does anyone have windows 8 but was still able to load the 2kX Mod Tool?

Also, on the REDMC I paid and got the guru access but I am not able to do the same type of things that I did with the REditor II. Is there any tutorials on how to schedule a 29 game season using the REDMC? Whenever I try to make a schedule on the REDMC it crashes the game.

Open it with the Java(TM) Platform SE Binary. There's probably multiple exe. files in your java folder, but that is the one that works for me.
