split stats

Is any one using the split stats to adjust their strategy?
I have looked at it before but today while in my association I realized the split stats are extensive.
I mean 2k has three tiers for split stats:
General splits


Splits by Month


Splits by opponent

I'm going to see if using the splits stats will help
in my association Marcus Thornton averages over 27 points in wins
and averages less than 20 points in losses
he is the kings leading scorer with about 23 ppg so I'm going to focus on
limiting his points and see if I can get a win.

So I held Marcus Thornton to 0 in first quarter and 7 in the first half but he errupted to have a 20 point second half totaling 27. After locking him down he just became unstoppable in the third. It felt as if the AI was overcompensating for the Kings Leading scorer (Kings 4th highest overall rated player in my association). Also on the defensive end the computer was predicting passes reaping havoc on the passing lanes, the Kings defense began making plays that they were not in position to make.
