Low fps playing online only (pc)

I have an amazing computer and an amazing internet connection. Plays great offline 60fps+..when I play online it goes from like 15-25fps and is very slow...anyone else experiencing this?

run the benchmark, and only play against people who have also run the benchmark.

if you get matched with someone and the team-select menu is running at 15-25 fps, quit right there.

sweet..Yeah, i did run the benchmark as I saw a message that told me to do it before online play. So you think the problem is those who haven't run the benchmark that I am playing against? Thanks for the input though!

yep, usually that is the case. but again, you can see the in-game fps at the team select menu, so if you see something low, bail

you were right..just played my first game where it was a constant 55 fps...so much better! Thanks for the help..this was really driving me crazy.

I'm running fraps and it says 30-40 during the benchmark, but the benchmark fps is at 18-20 and that is the fps i get locked in when playing online. Tips?

Yeah, I think whatever fps it is getting locked on when you do the benchmark is what the online gameplay will be at (strange that fraps and the game are giving you different fps tho). My suggestion is that as soon as you join a game and are on the team selection screen if Fraps is not giving you a fps of 35+, quit now...cause the game is going to run poorly. The people who don't benchmark and go straight into online play is ruining the gameplay for everyone else. I have played a lot of games online now that the fps has been 55+ and it has been great! NBA 2k13 should make it mandatory to do the benchmark imo.
