THIS IS COMPLETELY COMPATIBLE WITH THE ULTIMATE BASE ROSTER, OFFICIAL NBA2K12 FILES, 1998 MOD, 1999 MOD, AND 2007 MOD. THIS WILL NOT OVERWRITE ANY CURRENT NBA TEAM FILES. YOU'RE SAFE TO USE THIS WITHOUT FEARING OF SCREWING UP OR OVERWRITING FILES.




New in Version 3:

*Fixed big men bugs for PFs/Cs/SFs who are dribbling the ball up the court
*Fixed individual box scores bug with random players showing up
*Assigned the Nets franchise the New Jersey logos NOT the Brooklyn logos
*Double checked Jerome Williams CF is included in zip
Image*Added portraits for ALL the remaining players that don't have one - courtesy Nuhmete
*I further improved the Bobcats roster for association mode by giving all players giant contracts with no trade clauses making this team basically useless.

The following tweaks were made by NicktheQuick and will be included:
*Assigned look-a-like CF for all head coaches, where real coach CF was not available.
*Assigned a few assistant coaches- Bulls, Lakers, Spurs, Jazz.
*Assigned CF's to every player from your UBR roster.
*Fixed some portraits, where wrong portraits were assigned.
*Added 39 free agents from that season. Finished all FA's ratings.
*Checked all player numbers for accuracy
*Added several players from UBR to teams, most teams now have 13 players some 14. Expanded the rosters for more accuracy!

Version 2:

I (HAWK23) have gone ahead and made this mod compatible with NBA2KUpdates AND the Ultimate Base Roster. I did this by renaming files to ensure normal files will not be overwritten. What this means is these files will not replace any current NBA team files so you can put all these files in your folders without worrying about it messing anything up for current NBA teams. There will also be NO conflicts with the Ultimate Base Roster, so feel free to install all files (and click yes to "overwrite") without fear of screwing anything up with the Uultimate Base Roster.


In addition to the new compatiability features I've also done the following:

*Removed the Bobcats from the roster
*Added portraits for nearly 8-10 players per team using the same portrait files the Ultimate Base Roster uses
*Added the real 1997-1998 East and West All-Star Teams
*Added the real 1997-1998 East and West Rookie Teams
*Fixed an issue with the rookie team courts not showing up
*Fixed a few player ages that were incorrect
*Fixed a few jersey lengths that were incorrect

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

1. You will see 2 folders in the WinZIP file.

2. You need to place everything located in the "Main NBA2K Folder" winzip folder into:
C:\Program Files (x86)\2K Sports\NBA 2K12 (NOT THE SAVES FOLDER)

3. You need to place the file named “1993 Roster.ros” located in the "SAVES" winzip folder into: C:\Users\Your Name\AppData\Roaming\2K Sports\NBA 2K12\Saves

Then open the game and load the “1998 Roster” roster.

For Steam users:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\NBA 2K12

So far inbar is saying the same thing, he says we can slam it together, right now I am hoping it will be 97-98 because I would love to collaborate on a project with inbar, the last one we did he did most of the work I would like for me and him to build it together this time plus inbar has a great eye for these rosters so it would be an honor to work with him

OK guys so I think we are going to do 97-98 since we have some good help Inbar says he is in he is one of the masters of roster making however there will be no
pressure this year because I will be doing most of the work on the roster Inbar I really want to do stats, shot selection but me and him still need to talk and figure how we will share the work
and make this the best roster this year and also make sure we wont wait until Aug to finish this year, having inbar join the team is huge if you guys don't know about him then you better ask somebody
he has been responsible for the 2001 roster in 2k9 and 2001 in 2k10 also pretty much the entire roster setup for 95-96 roster in 2k10 and of course last years 2003 roster so inbar is no stranger to this kind of work.
also stormswarning is joining the team, he says he can also help out with stats and stuff so this will also take a lot of the work load off my self and inbar... at this point I very confident and look forward to getting started If you want to help with anything at all please post or send me a Pm

i will help however im able. im not good with graphics. but im doing a 98/99 mod right now for 2k11 which takes the existing roster u made for 96/97, and corrects all tendencies, animations, ratings, numbers, missing players etc. (more info here: viewtopic.php?f=136&t=82422)The sim results im getting from it are really impressive so far. So if you want to use that as your base once i release it, you are free to do that. Since its only a season earlier, the adjustments that would need to be made would be very minimal. I think it will save alot of time.

Since i'm a big fan of Barkley and MJ especially at the peak of their playing careers, I voted for the 95-96 season. They were too old to use in the 97-98 league imo I'm fine with the voting results though since the latter season was also a hell of a great NBA year with "new" batch of superstars on the rise by the likes of Iverson, Duncan, Kobe, and the rest of the 1998 gang. But for me, it'll be a blast if the remaining people who haven't voted here yet will make 95-96 the winner of this poll
