There seems to be an issue with REDitor and Association mode. When I open my .FXG file in REDitor, some of the prospects lose either their first and/or last name. If I save the file, the prospects in-game would have square boxes for names.

Does this happen to anyone else?

Yeah always happens to me when I import a downloaded draft class and the edit anything in reditor the rookies always end up with square boxes.

2) If I wanted to start a new association with myself as coach, how do I do that? Specifically, I want to add new coaches to the staff file under REDitor.

You can simply select a "template" coach on Staff tab, then right-click on him and select "Clone", as you have Guru license.
The clonee will then appear at the bottom of the grid, so you'll be able to easily customize it. Then you should just assign him to a team on Teams tab by changing Staff_HS value to the new coach ID.

Yes, please, use Help -> Request A New Key... dialog box and enter your old registration data (or your transaction information) there - i will generate another one and send it back to you.

Yeah always happens to me when I import a downloaded draft class and the edit anything in reditor the rookies always end up with square boxes.

Looks strange. And this is not roster-dependent, right?

I have tried with diffrent roster files. whenever I download and import a draft class then edit it later with reditor it does it. The quick fix and workaround I have always used is don't import the FDC just auto gen the rookies and copy paste over them seems to fix it. On a side note not realted to the Reditor 2k12 will only allow about 8 draft class to import before it crashes out I even tried relating it to non Reditor FDC files still happens must be something with the game.

I've only had NBA 2K12 for around a week. All I know is that I am never buying another sports game for the PC. As paying customers; we're treated like crap. I haven't finished one Association game in over 20 tries as it CTDs after a quarter or halftime.

It's probably the game problem then... i remember, last year it incorrectly assigned rookies' ages (as their birth years + 1892 or something like that), so they became veeeeeeeeery old on draft days...
It's a pity, they don't fix such obvious major issues.

3 questions:

1) For playoff crowds, how do we control the color of the shirts fans are wearing?

2) With the schedule editor... is it possible to make a season/association with only 29 teams?

3) Seeing that Game of the Year Edition version of 2k12 has the early 90's Sonics jerseys... is it possible to get those jerseys on regular xbox360 NBA 2k12 games? There must be a jersey hex code for it or a way to maybe get the art files transported...

1) It's probably art (not roster) controlled. Unless the team is CAT.
2) No, the game will crash (freeze)
3) Sorry, i can't help you here, as i don't own a 360 copy of the game.

One problem I've noticed in my myplayer game, (apart from the usual team stats getting messed up, which happens regardless of any editing) is that when viewing the boxscores or news stories, some players are called *.****************.

At first appearance, it seems to be players that I have edited (but not all of them). What I've been doing is manually replacing the upcoming draft class players sometime before each season ends.

Thankfully, when looking at the league statistics/rookie report/etc. the players actually show up correctly and even have accurate statistics, this only happens when viewing boxscores of previous games or in nba.com reports. The players also show up correctly while playing actual games.

Because of this I've just lived with it (it's happened since before 3.6.1, and I imagine it isn't actually a problem with Reditor), but I'm wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem and knows if I've done something wrong somewhere?

Okay still have shoe dilimna and the notes don't explain exactly what's going on with pshoes and what values should say what, but I have over 50 in files and none of the players are wearing them.

What should the values be 0, -1, 1, what?

Also if the portrait ID is different from the CF ID will that also make it not show up...just wondering.

The manual way to fix it is to open a file with any Hex Editor and change the first four bytes symbol representation to "CON " (without quotes, the last character is space).

The new version will include the fix to it as well as several other interesting updates. Will be released within a week.

Vlad, can you explain this step a little more please for those of us that aren't well versed in advanced Hexing?

Also, can someone fix this file for me? It is a DraftClass file for the 360. It won't open in MODIO.

Hey, guys!

A new version is out and you can find the link in the frist post.
I hope, you will enjoy the new features, it introduces (awards and team stats editing, as well as several other; the full list is as always in the frist post). This is probably the last update to the NBA 2K12 Tables, unless a bug is spotted. I'm starting to work on MLB 2K12 now.

No, the problem with Box Scores is not REDitor-related. You should simply make sure, there are no more than a single player with the same ASA_ID value. If you don't mind the audio and awards assignation, then you can just enter any generic values there, so each player has a different one. This will fix the issue.

okay thanks...

also when I put the shoes at 1 for pshoes, if the cf ID and portrait ID don't match will that also cause it not to show up in game.

I put the shoes at 1 and still no pshoes... :(

How come when I add new coaches to my roster and when I start. Association. Then fire current coach none of the coaches I add show up for me to hire
