Hi Guys - Love my 80s NBA and am absolutely excited about the great job you guys are all doing with this Mod. Can't wait to play it in sim mode to watch all of those match-ups I could only read about in Australia in 80s.

I'm amazed at the quality of the art work being developed for this mod, the cyberfaces and courts are amazing and the jerseys I've seen look great.

Are the Jazz having a 7 patch on their jerseys for this season for Maravich and the Suns 30 for Nick Vanos? Just a tiny detail but you have all gone into such depth here - brilliant!

Uff. I finish Denver Nuggets

Now I upgrade information about teams which I created - add correct staff, Arena, Jersey, logo, salaries to players, correct ID_Audio (if possible) and stats from last season.

Additionaly I would add all players which appear in 1987/1988 season to roster - on this moment I add Burtt, Gregory, White, Phelps and Nessley, but I place it into Free Agent Pool.

IronMike323, I need other created teams - on this time in 90% is created ( withouth graphics for new players): Nets, Cavs, Suns, Spurs, Supersonic, Hawks, Trail Blazers, Kings, Hawks and in 100% Clippers.

PS. If Mike or most of you, wants missing legendary players like Liam Bias, Sabonis ( drafted in 1985), David Robinson ( drafted in 1987) or Vamos I may create it. I look forward to other proposals which player put in MOD, who didn`t apper in 1987/1988 season.

Reddwarf33, I don`t create Maravich - in 1987 Pete was 37 years and constans problem with knee and other injury.

Hi Sylvian - Great job with the Nuggets - I'm really admiring the job that you and the others are doing with these teams for the mod. :bowdown2:

My question re Pete Maravich wasn't whether he would be in the Mod, as he retired early 80s, but rather as he died during this season I was wondering whether the makers of the uniforms were going to go into such detail as to include the #7 patch that the Jazz wore on their uniforms for that year. :D

Was Calvin Natt the power forward on this team and Alex English the SF rather than the other way around?

Keep up the great work Sylvian - I can't wait to see the finished product. :applaud: :applaud: :applaud:

Honestly I was interesting NBA on 1995 year and oldest players i saw only during retro matches. I don`t remember if I saw any match with Alex English and Calvin Nutt, then I may make mistake with his positions.

Not a problem Sylvian - just trying to help, my friend :D .

As I recall Natt was only 6'6" but one of the first guys to lift weights seriously and English was 6'7" but the scoring wingman of the pair. Sadly by 1988 Natt was well past his prime having suffered a knee injury several years before and only playing reduced minutes behind Danny Schayes.

For somebody who says he doesn't really know the 80s you are doing a fantastic job and lots of us "old guy"s are going to love playing with the teams you have created. Keep up the good work. (Y)

IronMike I noticed you asked someone else bout doin the title page so I aint gonna concern myself with that anymore obviously...

But I got something I can do which will bring more detail to this stuff, basically on Live with stadia editing I made the dornas so they dont move anymore and are just the old school 'padded' look adverts with alot of detail, now I dont think you can edit stadiums in 2k to that effect but what I can do is transfer... for instance the Pistons adverts onto every single dorna part in the dorna file, so even though it changes it will always be the same old school looking adverts and will really make the court surroundings look more 80s...get at me with what you think

An example of Golden State Warriors, I just gotta add the final advert...this is the same size as a dorna file (obviously doesnt show full size on here), so if this is imported to every single dorna file we'll have the effect of a static one (sorta)..

Yeah I gotta double check if these are the same as 87-88 cos these are based on 89-90. Some might have had table cloths...but I'm pretty amazing at making those look realistic :D so thats no big deal either..

Another example, Houston Rockets..

Yeh DJ retired after that 1989-1990 campaign and after that bird got those injuries and then reggie lewis took over and then he died :( It has always been misfortune for the Celtics ever since Bird came along lol 1985- Celtics trade their former FInals MVP, cedric maxwell. 1986- After the c's win the title and Bird wins Finals MVP, they draft Len Bias, not even 2 days later, dies of crack overdose. 1987- Bird averages 29 points and then gets skyhooked to death in the finals 1988- first serious injuries happen early in the 1988-1989 campaign 1989- makes a comeback but at the end of season DJ retires 1990-91 bird averages career low 1992- only played fourty five games and retires at seasons end 1993 just when things were starting to look good, Reggie lewis gets a heart attack and liek a couple weeks later he dies during practice 1993-2001 years of mediocrity 2002 Paul pierce gets stabbed 2002-2006 more mediocrity 2008 WINS A TITLE 2009 Gets hated by Cavs fans for eliminating the Cavs 2010- Gets beaten by Lakeshow in finals 2011- Okay season 2012-gets beaten by miami in 7 games then ray allen leaves their best 3 point shooter leaves. see what im saying lol
