I'll get back to modding and tool making soon enough; I'm even posting this in the midst of my vacation. I've been doing tool development and modding since the game came out, so I wanted to take a break from everything and just have some me time.

I promise to be back soon and get working on the remove mod function as well as trying to find out what the errors you're having are about.

Thanks. As for the remove mod function, it'll be done when it's done. You know I'll keep my promise, but I can't give you any ETA yet.

Hi I'm having trouble getting Keep My Mod to start. When i open it, it says Nba 2k12 doesnt seem to be installed in this computer/ for this user. The required registries could not be found. Anyone have any idea how to fix this? It's from steam but i dont think that should make a difference.

This only shows up if the registry key for NBA 2K12 is missing. [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\2K Sports\NBA 2K12]

A proper installation of NBA 2K12 shouldn't have this problem. Re-installing should fix your problem. If you don't want to lose your mods, rename the folder you currently have NBA 2K12 installed in first. Then, when Steam finishes reinstalling NBA 2K12, remove the folder, and rename your old one back. The registry keys should now be there.

Try running as Administrator. If the key is there, there's no reason the tool shouldn't be able to see it. Are you sure it's at
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\2K Sports\NBA 2K12
?

But it's in the path I said? Under HKEY_CURRENT_USER? I really have no idea why the tool can't access it. Maybe your registry privileges are messed up for some reason. Did you try running as admin?

Don't know what to say. I'm all out of ideas. I checked the code, this error only comes up if the tool can't access the 2K12 registry key at all. Try a compatibility mode or something. I'm really out of ideas. Nobody else has reported such a problem.

Just disable some of the mods via the Online Data Browser.

I was bound to add a feature that would fix that, for those that were using Keep My Mod. Didn't get round to it, as it seems. I'll be done with my studies come October, so I'll most probably work on that then.

However, if you want a possible solution to that, you may want to search the forums. It's bound to have been discussed a lot of times already, and someone may have found a solution. If you don't find anything, go to the main NBA 2K12 subforum, and create a new thread with your issue.

Here's the fix for that...

Darth_Jor-El wrote:I don't know if anyone already discovered this but i would like to share anyways..

I found a rookie tattoo solution.. all you need to do is change the players "Portrait ID (PortrID)" into any number that is not between 2122 to 2210.. those are the ID's that the rookies were assigned and for some reason when you assigned them to any player, the tattoos that came with the CF disappear... this is also an issue for undrafted D-League callups that patchers assigned to unused ID's between 2122 to 2210... it worked for me, i hoped it works for all of you.. the only downfall is, you lose your rookie portrait, especially if your using portrait patches.. solution to that is to edit the portrait file and assigned the portraits to different ID numbers...
