Oh definitely Melo. That 08 Celtics team, in my opinion, is one of the top 15 teams of all-time! I will never take anything away from the Celtics, I'm too much of a basketball fan for that. I just can't cheer for them

Major Updates in V40:
• Added the 1979-1980, 2001-2002, and 2009-2010 Roster Mods
• Includes a "UBRV40 Association.ros" roster file which strips out all of the retro teams for those of you who just want the updated roster with flawless Season/Franchise mode. Don't worry the normal Ultimate Base Roster V40 with all the retros is still there too.
• Converted tendencies, animations, hot zones, hot spots, and salaries to current players from Alby's for better accuracy
•Added 2013 All-Star Jerseys and Fictional Pelican's Jerseys
• All players on current teams have real portraits (added portraits for Baynes, Beverley, Johnson)
• Added the updated 2012-2013 all-star teams for the East and West AND rookie and sophomore teams

Great work, Hawk!. Only one suggestion: Can you asign other Port and CF ID number to Shumpert (NY), Isiah Thomas Jr (SAC), Marcus Morris (HOU), Markieff Morris (PHO), Kyrie Irving (CLE), Marshon Brooks (BKL) and James Singleton (FA)?. I think that´s the only way mode to show their tatoos in the game. Thanks!

Yeah they do up close...I guess when Suirad edited the hair at the back of the head he might have caught the eye area...but as long as you actually play the game and dont stare at replay stills up close... you'll be fine

Nice update! But I found a glitch in the ABA Exapnsion roster in which the home court of the aba team, aba arena, is a blank arena with nothing but the players and courts. The hoops are invisible and everything around the court is pitch black so it pretty much looks like a court smack in the middle of pitch darkness. I know its not a graphical glitch cus my settings are high and plays smoothly. So can you please look into this if you guys have time? Thanks But still, great job

Thank you guys so much for all of your hard work on this mod!! I have a couple questions...Is there anyway to change the stories at the start of an association/season? The ones that say "Heat ready to prove critics wrong", "Dwight wants to stay in Orlando". Those stories, can they be changed? Im assuming no, but if they can it'd be awesome if I could change the story and picture to maybe something about Magic and Bird and everyone else from the era. Also, I'm wondering if it's possible to make the extra coaches (like the ones you go to hire when you click to fire someone) into real coaches as well? I'm assuming I would just find them to edit in the save file in Redditor, right? Again, thanks so much for the help! This mod is so awesome!

Hi Lakersfan - I have noticed that the game will create its own stories if a team has less than a 12 man roster and it will create a little story about a certain player signing for that team for the season. Unfortunately when it does sign a player to make up its 12 man roster it only takes them from the D-League, so unless you substitute some free agents for the D-League players you get news stories about players you don't want anyway . Other than that I think the stories are hardwired into the game.

To change the coaches you just go into the mod you are playing by using Reditor and change the coaches that are available to you or their roles in the game. I would then suggest you "Save As" with a different name so you have the original mod still in tact

Hey guys, i was wondering if there is any way to change the rookies and sophomores team names?? I wanna change the names to team shaq and team chuck but its not letting me. I change the name in the reditor, save it.. load it.. but it still shows rooks and sophs.

I also noticed for their "team type" they are 16 & 17 which represent "rooks and sophs"

I was thinking maybe this was the issue so i tried changing them to different team types and change the name afterwards, but i still couldnt get it too work. Anyone have any ideas or solutions?

Hey Hawk wouldn't it be better to have the all time franchise teams in a mod of their own separate from the UBR? That way you clear space on the UBR for more teams and you don't have the minutes glitch.

Aaaargh - after thinking that my Ultimate 80's was finished I had a final look at it and discovered that all of the players historical stats have disappeared after it taking about 60 hours to collect and enter them .

I just don't get it, I simmed the game heaps of times and the real stats showed up on the players' cards perfectly every time and now they are gone - not just on my master copy but also on the 3 "working" copies I save along the way as I make changes in case something goes wrong with an update.

Time to go to bed and have a sulk and try to get the enthusiasm and time to start that part all over again .

Other than that the mod works really well and it's ready to go

In UBRv40 both rosters ( regular and association) James White age is wrong, he is 30 now, not 26, in 2002 mod Laphonso Ellis age is wrong and in 2007 mod Gerald Green (Celtics) legs are noticeably whiter than his body.

Hawk, could add these free agents to 2011-12 roster: Jeff Green, Aaron Brooks, T.J. Ford, Chris Douglas-Roberts, Rashad Mccants, Sean Williams. As 2012 roster is made from UBRv19(or 18) these guys weren't in that roster (you added them in v20 when you added few missing bench players and FAs) and they are unavailable in 2012 roster. T.J. Ford and Sean Williams actually briefly played in 2011-12 season, Jeff Green was injured that year, but so were Oden and Roy and they are in the roster.

Also, in 2012 roster Twolves Black uniforms have short shorts,but those uniforms have long shorts in reality.

Antonio McDyess is 38 in 2002 roster (he was 27 in 2002). And Nene is spelled weird in 2010 roster.
