What did you have in mind? I was going to do a full re-vamping of that mod like I've done with the others... if you want to work on ratings tweaks I can definitely import your rating tweaks to the revamping I do... let me know what you had in mind

i also think its important gameplaywise for the 80s mods to make offensive tempo and fastbreak global edits as defense was not apart of the 80s. damn near every team was over 100 points a game. hell in 88 for example the clippers were the only team not to avg 100 pts for that particular season

Suirad - would you encourage me editing coach profiles then for all teams? Which seasons specifically? 1984-1993ish?

Redd - try messing with the coach profiles by going to OPTIONS --> MY NBA --> COACH PROFILES from the main menu in the game to mess around with it a bit

My favorite 80's team is Denver Nuggets. Hot smooth basketball! And I love your jobs guys especially the stats you add in 80s mods. But, I am almost sure that in 1986 and 1985 mod Denver Nuggets' court (McNichols) is not the right one. Could you please fix that as well as the play types of Alex English in every mod (the tendencies are fixed, at least for the 80's mod I have played so far). He often runs around the three-point area (play type 3 is 3pt and I think should be post low). Thanks guys!!

Hi Carmello - I am in the middle of revamping the 84, 85, 86 and 89 mods and will look at changing Alex English because I agree with you that the 3pt shot wasn't really a major part of his game, and will also have a look at the 3 McNichols arenas available and see if 1 is more suitable.

After that we go on to the 1983 mod and the all-conquering 76ers of that year.

That's great news! I was wondering if someone was going to create the early 2000's. Are they working they're way too each other? Wasn't Mike aka M4kveli working on a 2001-02 mod? This is getting beyond amazing!! If the 2000's mods get complete they,ll be 30 years of nba seasons for one game, that's unbelievable!! I see Redd is working on an 83 mod too, that's 30 years exactly to 2013! Also can you create a 2012 season mod by downloading a roster update from the end of last season?

Alright - I just uploaded a pretty nice Silent Update to part 4 that includes the following:

*Revamped 1992-1993 Mod in which I added ANY missing players and edited all lineups and rotations including adding any free agents that were missing and creating players by scratch if necessary

Yep just to go into detail on the 2000 Mods and what other Mods are currently in the works... this is what I know (some of which I found out yesterday):

Once these mods get completed we will have every season completed from the early 80's to present... however, I'm still going to concentrate on tweaking and finalizing the 90's rosters before I turn my attention to the 2000's. Once these mods get completed we will have every season completed from the early 80's to present... however, I'm still going to concentrate on tweaking and finalizing the 90's rosters before I turn my attention to the 2000's. I just need to finish re-vamping and tweaking the 95, 98 and 99 mods and I'll be done.

Hi Guys - The plan with the 80's is to eventually go back to 81 or maybe even 79-80 season if I get the energy .

At the moment I have made a good start at 83 but have put that aside for the moment as I'm doing a MAJOR remodel of the 88 mod which is taking some time and will follow that by tweaking 89 which will take me just a few hours or so. After that it's back to 83

Eventually I hope to do an Ultimate 80's mods with "typical" teams from across the 80's so Knick's fans can enjoy more than the 6 games they had with Ewing and King together and also list every player who played in the 80's but didn't make one of the 23 rosters as a Free Agent so that players can swap in and build their own teams if they wish.

Today I did a MAJOR remodeling/revamping of the 1994-1995 Mod. Ray released his 94-95 Super Mod roster, but there were a ton of mistakes that I fixed. I also did a FULL ratings tweaking of EVERY player to better reflect the 1995 Season. Took a lot of time. I will release tonight if I have the energy (tomorrow morning at the latest).

*Added MORE accurate Free Agents to the FA Pool
*Checked over all rosters/lineups/rotations to ensure accuracy and add any missing players

*Edited the all-star teams and rookie teams for accuracy

Ok, i'll check so like i mention Ray has made Sonics "Tacoma Dome" court and on this court they played home games only in 1994-95 season. Ray also has made 76ers court for the 94-95 season mod and updated Spurs "Alamodome", Suns "America West Arena".

That ultimate 80's mod sounds sweet. If you do get around to it Redd, throw Len Bias in the FA for me. It would be sweet to be able to put him on the Celtics with Bird, McHale, Parish and my man Reggie Lewis!

Oops 1 more question, how difficult is it to create a draft class? Would it be as simple as pulling out the rookies from the next year's roster and putting them in a file for the draft? (was thinking about trying to make some draft files for the 80s that are missing, but have basically no knowledge on the modding, just very minor stuff like changing the schedules and stuff).

Hey - I did spend an hour or so on trying to fix it a few days ago. I need to get back to trying... but all the regular stuff I tried didn't work. It's a more complicated problem than I anticipated. It is on my list of things to figure out.

As for creating a draft class... yes and no. It would be difficult for YOU to do because I'm assuming you don't have the advanced/paid version of the reditor. If you DO have that then it is as easy as plucking players and copying and pasting them into the draft class files. Which do you have?

I really appreciate Hawk23 and his supporting crew in putting this mod together. I just updated the Version 36. I do have to mention that in the 1983-84 mod, the Spurs have an all-white floor. I remember fondly that their floor was red, blue and white. Also, the 1980 Clippers don't have the light blue uniforms. They are wearing red uniforms with the LA Clippers logo.

OK I haven't left my chair for the last 3 days apart from grabbing a few hours sleep and have just about finished a major overhaul of the 1988 mod which is simming really well except for the Nets where I am tempted to leave Orlando Wooldridge out (19 games before injury) as he is messing up stats for players like Roy Hinson

All I need to do now is check and update the CF's and portraits, add the previous season's team stats and add salaries if people want them (salaries will take about 6 hours if wanted). After that I will forward it to Hawk for final testing etc before release.
