Alright - I've silently updated Part 4 with the latest Version 2 of the 1989 Mod (made by Reddwarf) I also included version 1 of the newest mod - the 1986-1987 Mod by Suirad! I went through and ensured correct lineups/rotations while also adding accurate free agents and a few players to the teams that were missing.

The Baltimore Coliseum ('47-'48) home of the Baltimore Bullets had a black floor issue (Francis did that court, i guess)

So I purchased NBA 2K12 from a thrift shop a couple of days ago, played around with a vanilla game and then decided to take the plunge and download this mod. I've run into the following issues (this is with UBRV33). This, I should add, has happened after downloading the files twice.

-Complete inability to play with any of the classic roster files with the exceptions of 96/97, 97/98, 98/99, 99/00, 05/06 and 06/07 (If I try and load into a game with any of the other retro roster files, game hangs on the pre game loading screen)
-Black arms for a number of classic players
-Generic logos instead of the correct emblems for a number of teams (basically everyone besides the current 30 NBA teams and the classic teams already in the retail version IE The 98 Spurs, 93 Hornets, 89 Hawks, ect)

These are the main issues I've had. If anyone could offer some advice/assistance as to what the root of these issues are, I would appreciate it. I admire the amount of work that has went into this project and I commend the modders on this site for doing fantastic work yearly for this franchise.

I know the fix to the 403 error. Just use a proxy. If you are a noob like I am to that just download Hotspot Shield and activate it. Then download all the way!

There are a couple of jerseys that are close to real 86 jerseys but not the actual ones worn.

If we have a clever jersey maker out there we could do with the following 86 ones - Cleveland which is an orange rather than blue version of the 89 jersey, the 86 Warriors had a white version of the gold one they wore from 76 onwards and the Knicks had their numbers on their shorts in 86 but I don't know that we need worry about that

Installed UBRv32 last week for PC, runs perfect, looks great!! So, is there any need (or purpose) to install "Official" Patch v1.0.1? What exactly does the Official Patch add to UBR, and are any problems created by the "Official" Patch?
I had a "patched" version of 2k12 running on PC, and added UBR on top of it. Then yesterday I installed UBR over clean vanilla install, I am just wondering, as I haven't seen anything regarding the 1.0.1 patch on the UBR FAQs, what is preferred method of running UBR... any info appreciated, thanks much!

Hi NIB - don't worry about doing another version of the 86 Lakers as game players who build their own competitions with classic teams will access your version

Those 86 Bullets do have Malone and Gus in the backcourt and a healthy Ruland in the middle backed up by Manute

Roundfield and Robinson, both closer to the end than the start of their careers round out a not bad starting 5 but there's not much depth on the bench I'm afraid

A very good point Carmelo as the 3 pt shot was an option barely used in the 80's, especially in comparison to the present day "gunners"

In building the 89 and 86 mods I have been very careful to drastically cut the 3pt frequencies of players and have simmed many seasons to ensure accuracy of 3pt frequency etc. .

Because I check by simming, some of my shooting ratings seem a little higher than on other mods but this is because if they are not raised the shooting % of most players is way down. This could be fixed by making most inside shot ratings 95-99 to represent what actually happens in the NBA and then other ratings could be more realistic but that doesn't suit gameplayers

I have also gone through the 86 mod which is about to be released and really cut the defence of most players because defence wasn't a focus at all in the mid 80's, but it doesn't actually appear to impact on simmed season scoring

I am just finding some suitable existing cf's for some of the players missing them and I will send it on to Hawk in the next 12 hours or so. I think everything else is done and it plays pretty well

I found a ridiculous bug or glitch suns court and i think spurs are just blank its only a black empty floor with nothing else on then players i can't even see the basket.. i was playing with My player mode i tested if you can use me player mode in the old NBaseason and played my first game 100 success vs lakers then i went to pheonix and it was just empty black empty floor.. and i played with Spurs in practice mode testing some plays there was a black floor there too it is the 1987 new mode..

in 1995v5 roster: Dino Radja's height (Celtics) is 2.10m(6-11) not 2.03m(6-8) and secondary position should be "Center".In the same team E.Montross' height is 2.13m (7-0) not 2.10m(6-11)

I am looking at doing the 84-85 season next - The rookie season for all those players in the legendary 1984 draft . Also it had Larry and Magic at close to their best, Kareem a force and lots of high scoring players scattered around the league.

Is their anyone else working on this season or wishing to work on it as I don't want to double up or hog all of the fun in making these 80's teams?
