Hi Guys - Just about to go to bed but have been working on 89 mod all day and it is now a better product again. A little fine tuning in next day or two and it will be ready for V35 when Hawk releases it.

Have added numerous real free agents and role players, assigned some existing cf's to some players, made 3pt frequency far more accurate for 1989 era and have scoring much closer to real season now.

Hopefully I'll get some time at work tomorrow to look at individual shooting percentages and double check rebounding totals then ready to go

Been away for a while (been spending some time with 2K13 and Madden). Glad to see progress continues. Sincerely appreciate all the hard work of the UBR Dream Team. just wanted to point out something... i found a contract bug in a retro mod playing association where players that are in their last contract are offered
$-18446744071562067968/1 year qualifying offer. which leads to unrealistic cap rooms which gives them more or less $ 2.14 Billion.. this could be a trade and free agency disaster... I'm playing association with the 2007 Roster V3, i don't know about the other retro mods.. hope this could be fixed.. i 'm in my 3rd yr now trying to recreate an alternate NBA.. and is forced to edit every single player that is offered this kind of contract..

and also is their a fixed for the 30th 1st Round Pick Bug where their 2nd to 4th yr contracts are $0?

Are you sure? I just checked V33 and the teams still have the default playbooks.

If 2ksports would invest even half the work into their product as some guys here do with all the rosters, graphics and so on 2k13 would probably be the greatest achievement of human history.
Seriously, pay some community guys the cash Jay-Z got for contributing nothing at all, the game would be so much better.

Attention all CF makers

Now that we're pushing back into the dark days of disco with our mods we could really do with some generic CF's made up for some of the players, especially white guys with mo's and black guys with 'fros

If anyone feels the urge to rattle off a few they would be great to add to the Bill Hanzliks and the Larry Kennons who will be joining us shortly

You're right Red, something we really miss here is good CF maker for the old pals. I mean, this guys always get critized by part of the community about their generic Cyberfaces, but no one assume that instead of critics, we got start to do something for helping and improve classic squads.

I never get down when listening this types of critics, instead, i always get more focus to finish them and improve my own creations. CF makers made great jobs around and outside, but the real masterpieces relies on doing something almost no one did: Create old players good cybers.

ok guys im bout to drop 87 on u. What should be expected is seamless intergration into ubr. Hawk is very busy as u all know so i have tried to tweak as much as possible so when he does finally dld this he wont have as much to go through. there should be 0 issues with cyberfaces as most players have 1. most coaches are accurate and so is bio info. I still want to release the additional courts and jerseys that r not quite complete yet that i have made for 87 and 88 but bird and i still must talk about some things. i have also tweaked player attributes to reflect 87 and all star teams are accurate as well. The Drs final house call, Magic and Birds last dance with each other in the finals, Sleepy Floyds amazing playoff game explosion against the eventual champion lakers in the 1st round, NEED I SAY MORE ITS 1987 BABY!!!! . If u see any issues post them here and we will see what can be done about them. Also u will notice additional career stats for certain players so Caps 36,000 plus points are in his file also alot of career awards are in as well for alot of players as u will notice

Love the 80's and we seem to be getting quite a collection together now. Can't wait to play it.

The 1985-86 mod is well under way and hope to get a lot more done over the next few days and a heap on the weekend. Having the 87 mod will mean I won't have to create some players from scratch if you don't mind me copying a few and then tweaking their ratings to reflect the 86 season.

Great work and having some player's records is a definite plus for the community.

Now that we are making seasons that contain only 23 or 25 teams, does anyone know if the game would still work if I rebuilt the schedule with just 23 or 25 teams?

I have 7 weeks holiday coming up and am happy to spend time building a 23, 25 and 27 team schedule based on real past seasons but don't want to waste my time if the game can't handle a different schedule structure.

If it does work we could leave out the "phantom" teams and players that we have to include under the 30 team schedule which would make the mods so much more realistic.

Alright - I've silently updated Part 4 with the latest Version 2 of the 1989 Mod (made by Reddwarf) I also included version 1 of the newest mod - the 1986-1987 Mod by Suirad! I went through and ensured correct lineups/rotations while also adding accurate free agents and a few players to the teams that were missing.

Just to recap... these are the changes that were silently updated:
