Putting mask/hair/goggles on players

Sun Sep 23, 2012 3:48 pm

I followed the steps on this thread but when i tried to import the edited headshape to the modtool i got this error....

I'm trying to put a hair (braids) on this Rip Hamilton headshape so I tried to link the hair and remove the beard and rename the hair to that scene name of the beard...

is there a technique on exporting the headshape on blender? do I have to edit some settings on the panel below?

you said you removed something, can't do that. If you are replacing one face with another to keep/remove stuff, you need to make sure that all the vertices are the same as before.

I see... so how do you see the vertices values? On that tutorial they removed the 2k12 scenes so that they can use those one they got from the 2k11 headshape and they just renamed the linked scenes to those removed (which what I did, I linked the hair to the scenes, renamed it to that of the beard's and remove the beard ) also when I'm attempting to just leave everything without removing anything I'm getting something that says java error: out of bounds or something whenever I'm trying to import the edited headshape back on the mod tool. Or... I'm doing something wrong by renaming the linked scene (for example the scenes are 0-1 to 0-12 and I rename the scene 13-0 instead of the default 12-001 which blender put when you link it). I didn't tried everything yet on 3DS Max though but I love blender.... it's small and it loads quickly so if someone can help me out it'll be greatly appreciated :)

Ok... upon keep on trying and ending up with the same error everytime, I just decided to just try some other headshapes and to my surprise I managed to put hairs on these 2 CFs with the same procedure I tried on the Hamilton headshape...

from what I observed I'm unable to put hairs on headshapes that has mask/goggles with them (tried on other CF aside to that of Hamilton's and I got the same error everytime) or maybe I don't know yet the right way to put it on the headshapes...
