I made a new account, confirmed it then I wanted to play online. However, it gets stuck on "Synchronizing NBA Today", but I skip it. Then it says "Synchronizing Data with the Server. Please wait..." and it takes ages.
What can I do to fix this?

Download the latest Online Data from the Downloads section. That should speed up the process. There's quite a lot of files in the Online Data folder that the game has to download first time you connect to 2K's servers. Around 50 MB to be exact.
