can't replace logos

Hey guys, i know i always have questions, but that is main point of help and requests? i want to know for example i take logoxxx.iff from retro Pistons 89 teams and i want to replace them with current Pistons team logo, i'll changed and replaced, but when go to the game it still appears that same current logo, but i want to have that old Pistons logo as current Pistons logo. Why i doing wrong?
