Talk about NBA 2K12 here.

Hey guys, here I am with another problem of the game.
When I run NBA 2k12 and go to My NBA settings, I don't see everything there, things like NBA Rules and Coach Profiles are missing. I don't load roster, keeping it simple. When I load it anyway (Albys 5.1), it's still the same. This is not the first time it happens. I've reinstalled the game two times already because of this issue. Both times it worked. I've got just a few patches in game such as CF's and jerseys for my Grizzlies team, newest global by Leftos TNT edition. There was no problem after adding those mods, it appeared randomly just now.
Plus, when I start benchmark in the game now, with same graphics settings as before, temperature of GPU goes to 70°C! It's stuttering like hell - one freeze in 7 secs or so (even in practice mode). Other games like PES 2012 are just ok...
Here's my comp:
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz with Noctua cooler
Motherboard: Gigabyte 770T-UD3 770
GPU: Gigabyte nVidia GTX460 1024 MB
RAM: Kingston HyperX CL7, 4x2048 MB, 1333MHz
HDD: 2x SAMSUNG F3 500GB in RAID 0
Case: Eurocase MIDDLETOWER ML9001 with two Noctua coolers and one default in front.
Any help, good help!
Thank you!!

I have no idea what could cause a bug like this. I have A LOT of mods installed (including my global

) an never had that kind of issue. Mind you, I'm mostly playing Association, but I have no idea if that would make any difference. Did you try going to another game mode (such as Association) and looking if the menus are fine there? Did you install the patch?

The NBA Rules and Coach Profiles are really missing in the menu to fix this you have to play a game (No need to finish it) After it starts quit and there you go your NBA Rules and Coach Profiles

Thanks for the tips. Just tried Association and the menus are there. When I start a quick game and quit, the menus are there also. But not right after I launch NBA 2k12...
EDIT: when I go to practice mode after a game played, it disappears again lol.
And what about the stuttering? I tried to let the game download all the stuff and then play, but it's still the same.
And yep, I've got official patch.
Cheers!

No idea what could be causing the stuttering. Try grabbing the latest drivers for your graphics card (301.xx) or some earlier ones if these are giving you issues.

You wouldn't even think about Avast messing up your game... and that's it. Avast was causing the stuttering. About the menus, I've read it's a bug, which is also on xbox.

Have you installed any custom config files or edited it yourself? That caused stutter for me. Deleting it and letting the game recreate it fixed it.

I had custom config before, tried original also, did not work. Thanks for help

So the stuttering is back...
Internet cable plugged - stutter
unplugged - smooth as silk
Running NBA only, nothing else... looked in task manager, not any strange process there or so.
When I look at online data folder, everything seems fine and downloaded.
Appreciate any reply. Cheers! :!

Is your PC downloading any updates?

I disabled them and still the same. I've no idea what could be a problem. As I mentioned avast before, it doesn't run when I play, so it's not the cause.

Anyone?

as you mentioned, unplugging the internet is the way to fix it, I've had those issues and its something to do with 2K's end. No way to fix it other than unplugging or disabling your network adapter, but it doesn't always happen, so maybe try playing at a different time of day.
either way, if the NLSC community is stumped, you need to contact support.2k.com

Or blocking connections to 2K.
PeerBlock will let you do it.
